The power plays and cronyism of our "legislative leadership" in Raleigh, both Berger in the Senate and Moore in the House are a disgrace to Republican voters. They put their own personl power and doing favors for the special interests ahead of working for Republican principles. With Moore leaving, we have a chance to change that in the House and put respect for principle back into part of the legislature. The choice for the new Speaker is between special interest fixer Destin Hall, supported by the RINOs, and Freedom Caucus chairman Keith Kidwell, supported by the conservatives. A Kidwell speakership will be a refreshing new day in the House where principle will trump cronyism. Destin Hall is just a warmed over Tim Moore or a warmed over Thom Tillis.

Martin Luther King,Jr. was hardly "woke". Read some of his comments on homosexuality and it will show you he clearly wasn't. Indeed, it would not surprise me to some day see the Gaystapo going after MLK memorials just as hard as BLM gores after southern war memorials.

While Karl Marx himself never wrote anything that would promote wokeness, his followers in the following century did. Marxism is about creating divisions in sociey and Karl Marx expected wealth and class to fullfill the ideological need there. But a later Marxist ideologue changed that. Herbert Marcuse was chief of ideology for the German Communist Party in the Weimar Republic and fled when the Nazis took over. Upset that the working class did not rise up in Germany to overthrow the Nazis, Marcuse concluded that Marxists needed to create further divisions in society that they could exploit politically. He espoused what he called Critical Theory which advocated creating many divisions in society. Critical Race Theory is part of that. He came up with the term "intersectionality" to describe playing on more than one of those divisions at the same time. The "woke" movement today is straight out of the Marxist ideology of Herbert Marcuse.

Merrick Garland and his minions put Peter Navarro, a Trump White House advisor in prison for something that Garland himself is more guilty of. He is close to putting Trump White House advisor, Steve Bannon, in prison for a weaker case of what Garland did himself. The issue is contempt of Congress, and under Merrick Garland, the DOJ is run by the Rule of Politics instead of the Rule of Law.

Even worse, Garland demanded that Navarro and Bannon be sent to prison before their appeals were exhausted. It may take the Supreme Court hearing it, but their appeals are sound. By making them serve their sentence before the cases ever get there, the Garland DOJ hopes to render the appeals moot where they will not be heard. This is very dirty politics and another example of the Biden administration abusing the courts for political prosecutions of Republicans, while they can do the exact same things with impunity. This is a poltical double standard that is a threat to our justice system and to the Rule of Law.

Navarro and Bannon both asserted executive privelege when subpoenaed by Congress because they were directly on the president's staff in the White House. No White House staff member had ever previously been held in contempt of Congress when they asserted executive privelge. In the new politicized justice system of Merrick Garland, he went after them anyway.

Now Merrick Garland asserts executive privelege so he does nog have to prosecute himself. Not being on the president's direct staff in the White House, Garland's claim on executive privelege is much much weaker. While he is a member of the executive branch, his connection to the president is much more distant than a member of the White House staff.

And doesn't Garland comprehend that it is a huge conflict of interest for he, himself, or one of his underlings to be making the decision of whether he should be prosecuted?

Biden, Garland, and their ilk are totally lawless, and America will be so much better off when they are voted out of office.

The elections in Europe were not just a poll, but a sea change in government. Voters tossed out the climate alarmists and replaced them with people who understand the harm that climate alarmism does. And it was younger voters at the forefront of doing that.
The farmers of Europe are to be congratulated on getting the message out against what they aptly call "climate communism".

There is no "tipping point". The history of the Earth shows we have always had alternating cycles of warming and cooling periods. The last warm cycle, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today and nothing bad resulted. Indeed, the longest and hottest warming cycle, the Holocene Maximum, waw MUCH warmer than today and for three thousand years and nothing bad resulted.

Prendiegirl: Commissioner Hood Richardson does 'work for the people.' I know that because I am one of his most ardent constituents. You see, I only vote for the smartest politicians, hoping they will become the smartest elected government leaders.

Hood won that round for me and my kind decades ago, and he still amazes me with his mental acuity to know the best course, which for Hood, and others like Commissioner Richardson, is just plain Governing by Common Sense.

RH- I don't think any of that is true. Associating "woke" with Marxism is the exact thing that many, probably you too, tried to use against Dr. King. Back then privilege meant you got to ride at the front of the bus, get an education, drink out your own water fountain, sit in a restaurant, lynch black people with impunity etc. Now things are more subtle but correcting them wasnt Marxist then, and it's not now.

CT -Its not about the polls. Polls go up. Polls go down. Its about temps in the triple digits. As average temps rise, the tipping point will come.

For CG - I would simply say this in in a way that I hope makes sense. God gave us the earth. He also gave us free will. In our never ending pursuit of wealth and power, we humans certainly have the ability to turn this gift, the very planet that sustains us, into a steaming pile of sh*t.

What our past history would make you doubt our ability to achieve this unthinkable outcome?

The first step Trump needs to undertake in mass deportation of illegal aliens is to establish zero tolerance for illegal alien crime. Any crime they commit should earn instant deportation, even minor misdemeanors. They may you prioritize getting the worst ones out first. Federal funds should be cut off to sanctuary juridictions to make them comply.

The Qanon people are the people who would be in Putin's pocket. For the Putin crowd, here is the explanation given in Putin's mouthpiece "Russia Today" on what happened to Ukraine's gold in 2014: www.rt.com

That was the quasi-official Russian account of Ukraine's missing gold reserves, but Russia and truth very rarely go together.

You can spin the political events of 2014 however you like but the facts are that the corrupt pro-Russian president fled the country because he counted heads in parliament and realized he was going to be impeached and removed the next day. His party boycotted that session of parliament but parliament had well more than a quorum and all the other parties voted unanimously to remove him. The removal was done by a proper Constitutional process by parliament. Those are simply the facts.

Now, I can see why that corrupt pro-Russian president chose not to stay around after he was certain to lose his presidential immunity when he was impeached. On his orders, secret police snipers had murdered over a hundred protesters, whose blood was on his hands. He got out of Dodge just ahead of the posse.

I'm shocked at the amount of old heads that still go along with the mainstream narratives but claim they don't.

As a taxpayer, parent, WHS alumni member and concerned corporation; I still ask the following questions and will continue to do so until a satisfactory answer is given:

1. How did these young'uns get an access key?

2. How was the security system disabled?

3. Why was the security system disabled?

4. Was this a another live test/PsyOp to distract from something else being brought up?

You can best believe that it were any one of us that raised some hell at the schoolhouse, they'd have Live Eye 9 out there and the SWAT team in route.

ONly the woke Marxists spout this "privelege" nonsense. In much of society today, being white and straight makes one a target of the far left's cancel culture. Look at the way Caitlin Clark is being treated in professional womens basketball. It is not just that she is white but that she is straight in a lesbian dominated sport.

The European voters have wised up and kicked out a big chunk of "green" members of the EU parliament and their liberal allies, Bolshevik Bob. They have learned the damage that is being done by what European farmers call "climate communism" They have replaced them with members of populist right parties who are not beholden to the climate cult.

Here in America, the polls are showing that almost no one cares about the climate alarmist agenda. The next TRump administration will drive a stake through the heart of that monster.

God is in control of the weather NOT man.
Job 37
5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

black teenagers who did the exact same thing, get the same treatment? 5 bucks says no.

CT on the good side, almost nobody believes your BS. That's just fact.
On the bad side, our economy is so hooked on fossil fuels, it makes change difficult and possibly impossible. As such, some look for comfort in your arguments. Hopefully the next generation will wise up.

There will be a tipping point, but so far I don't see it.

Weather happens, Little Bobbie, and should not be politicized by the green left.

The pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology is much like the medieval church. In the medieval church, anything bad that happened was a punishment from God, but if you wanted to sin, you could buy an indulgence from the Pope. Under Climate Scientology, anything bad that happens is a punishment from Manmade Global Warming, and if you want to sin, you can buy an indulgence called a "carbon offset" from the pope of that cult, Al Gore, who has a company selling them.

The Azov Battalion militia was formed by football fans to defend the city of Mariupol from Russian attack in 2014 and succeeded in doing that. It is named for the Sea of Azov on which Mariupol sits. The lie about their being "nazis" is one of Putin propaganda's more successful scams, but to hear fascist Putin and his fanboys talk, they consider all Ukrainian patriots as "nazis" It is shameful to see hoodwinked Americans repeat Putin's lies. redstate.com
