Municipal elections, except for Belhaven, have come to a close with the most distinguishable fact being the remarkable lack of candidate participation, represented by the incredible point that Aurora and Washington Park do not even have enough candidates to fill their candidate rosters.

Randell Woodruff, currently the Camden County Manager, is hired to be Beaufort County's next county manager. By a vote of 6 to 1, the county commissioners appointed the 54 year old executive to take over the reins from Interim County Manager Jim Chrisman.
