"Every Picture Tells a Story ... Don't It:" Staunton, Virginia | Eastern North Carolina Now

After Stanhope and I warmed up a bit, we road up to what appeared to be one of the highest points in Staunton - the campus of Mary Baldwin College. Here we ate the last of our corned beef on rye, enjoyed a couple of fine beers, and quickly saw the sun sinking quite low. It was, December 19th, 4:35 pm and was determined move well beyond daylight as you can tell form the picture I made of Staunton: Above. Pannill Student Center at Mary Baldwin College: Below.

The President's Home at Mary Baldwin College: Below. When the moon is rising, it is time to pack in the camera, and I bid you goodnight: Below.

Getting there is half the fun. Take a ride with me and Stanhope in this pictorial essay, "Every Picture Tells a Story ... Don't it:" Road to Staunton.
