Governor Pat McCrory has appointed Steve P. Keen as the new director of the state's Eastern Office.

    Raleigh, NC     Governor Pat McCrory has appointed Steve P. Keen as the new director of the state's Eastern Office.

    Keen is the past chairman of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners and member of the state's Environmental Management Commission. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as an Operations Specialist. Keen is the former owner of Adam's Auto Wash, Inc. and has founded several businesses throughout his career.

    "Steve Keen's business acumen as well as his many contributions to the common good of the state of North Carolina make him a natural choice to head our Eastern Office," Governor McCrory said. "His dedication to supporting economic growth in the area through job creation is paramount to our administration's long-term goals."

    Dedicated to Wayne County, Keen has been awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" by the Goldsboro Jaycees, named "Volunteer of the Year" by the Goldsboro Family YMCA, was a recipient of the American Red Cross' "Hero Award" and has been named "Kiwanian of the Year" by the Sunrise Kiwanis, among other awards.
