Game Day shuttle, plus Freeboot | Eastern North Carolina Now

Uptown Greenville, with the generous support of Wells Fargo, is set to continue the popular pre-football game celebration, Freeboot Friday, beginning August 29, 2014 at 5:00pm at the Five Points Plaza. Jim Foster, Market President, said "Our team at Wells Fargo sees this as a great way to complement the Uptown revitalization efforts and all the good work the public and private sectors are doing to make Greenville a great place to live, work, eat, shop and invest".

In correlation with the East Carolina University home football games, Uptown Greenville will host five Freeboot Friday events: August 29, September 19, October 3, October 24, and November 21.

Moreover. Uptown Greenville is pleased to announce that it will offer game day shuttle services from the Uptown district to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The shuttle will run three hours prior, all throughout the game, and two hours post game for each home game, including Thursday game days. Shuttle route information can be found here.

Bianca Shoneman, Director of Uptown Greenville, said "we are excited to provide this free service to ECU Fans and visiting universities in our center city, an area experiencing a historic revitalization and increasing density of restaurants and retail storefronts".

Tailgating is prohibited in the municipal parking lots, while supporting Uptown businesses is encouraged.
