For Immediate Release

    Saturday, December 3       Marbled Madness       2 p.m.

We often think of the fall of the year as an inactive time for amphibians. But for the marbled salamander, cooler weather and fall rains signal a new breeding season. We’ll take a closer look at these amazing animals and explore the different types of salamanders at Goose Creek. Meet in the Auditorium of the Environmental Education and Visitor Center.

    Saturday, December 10, 2011       Survival Skills: Fire-Building       2 p.m.

Come and test your fire-building skills in this two-hour program. Try your hand with a bow and drill and see if you can start a fire without the aid of lighters or matches. Space is limited. Please call the park office at 252-923-2191 and pre-register.
