Enjoying DSLR Photography

Students will spend four spring evenings learning how to better use their DSLR camera. David Clark, a seasoned commercial photographer, will share his expertise and his passion for making great photos. Each evening students will make and share photos with class members as they come to understand how the elements of light interact with the camera. Explore metering, exposure and using various lenses to get desired results. Students will use different modes to photograph people, indoor objects and outdoor scenes. They will learn to format in RAW or JPEG as the need arises. The result will be the best vacation pictures ever. This $50 class will take place on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. starting May 23.

Wet Felting

Manipulating colorful wet wool produces beautiful art fabric with a variety of uses. In fact, felting is the oldest known fabric-making technique. Students will take home at least two pieces as wall hangings, mug rugs or art. All the supplies are provided. By the end of the class, students will feel confident in wet felting a mug rug at home. This $40 class will take place on Tuesday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Students will enjoy the whole process from proofing to rising to baking to eating. They will bake their own loaves of white, wheat and sweet bread to carry home, making family and friends proud of their delicious baked goods.
