    Press Release:

GREENVILLE, N.C.     Friday night at PirateFest marks the opening night of the festival's Carnival, which will take over Five Points Plaza and will feature a Ferris wheel, games, food and more.

The Carousel ride brings the classic Carnival experience for all festival-goers to enjoy. Our rock climbing wall is 25 feet tall and climbers who reach the top will win Carnival prizes! The Ferris Wheel is the perfect opportunity to face your fear of heights or sweep a loved one off their feet and soar into the air for a ride like no other.

Ahoy, matey! Don't forget our Carnival games with prizes for festival-goers of all ages along with food and adult beverages for sale. Individual ride tickets will also be available for purchase.

Pirate grub and grog will line Evans Street, with music on the Roses Main Stage at the corner of Evans and 4th Streets by Crucial Fiya, a reggae band. Brush up on your pirate lingo for a night of piratical tomfoolery!

The festival continues Saturday, April 14th, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with food, art and non-profit vendors, a pirate encampment, grog gardens, a carnival and live music all day long. The free concert at the Town Common from the Plain White T's at 5 p.m. will be our festival finale.
