Two million Cambodians died during the 4 year reign of the Khmer Rouge (1975-1979).

Cambodian Genocide (The Killing Fields) was the dream of Pol Pot to return Cambodia to an agrarian society by murdering the elite. Ethnic cleansing is one thing but the elimination of Same Race Same Religion people is the most insane. Watch the movie Killing Fields.

Vietnam launched an invasion of Cambodia in late December 1978 to remove Pol Pot. Two million Cambodians had died at the hands of his Khmer Rouge regime and Pol Pot's troops had conducted bloody cross-border raids into Vietnam, Cambodia's historic enemy, massacring civilians and torching villages.

In the Sino-Vietnamese Border War 1979, China launches the offensive in response to Vietnam's invasion and occupation of Cambodia, which ends the reign of the China-backed Khmer Rouge. This becomes China's largest military operation since the Korean War. The Chinese lost 63,000 men in the 27 day war.

Conclusion: Vietnam took action against China and Cambodia. I would like to know if any of our South Vietnamese trained allies were released from Re-education for combat.

The rise of Crazy in prosperous Cambodia may be a warning to all civilized countries that a Hitler or Pol Pot can appear quickly.
