We want 1,000 persons in Raleigh when we go. We need your help to accomplish this feat!

SPREAD THE WORD: NO FERRY TAX Posters: Attached are NO FERRY TAX POSTERS (size 8.5" by 11"). Print as needed. Distribute as posters and flyers. Post everywhere! Thank you County Coordinator for your help!

Write, email, and call the NC Speaker of the House Thom Tillis and President Pro Tem Phil Berger. Joe and Henri are requesting meetings. Our message is simple: NO FERRY TAX.

Keep up the good work: Bombard legislative leaders with calls & emails. Be polite. Advise them of the urgency of the needs of our citizens for essential transportation.

Turn up the heat: These leaders count telephone calls and emails they receive on any important issue. They must receive hundreds of calls and emails. Contact them, and urge your family, friends, and neighbors to contact them. Include your name, physical address, and a simple message: NO FERRY TAX. On emails, please use the subject line: NO FERRY TAX. NC Speaker of the House Thom Tillis, (919) 733-3451; thom.tillis@ncleg.net NC Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger, (919) 733-5708; phil.berger@ncleg.net Address: 16 W. Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

Welcome to the fight, Ocracoke! Joe and Henri spoke in Ocracoke last night to an enthusiastic group of community leaders.

Buy the Official NO FERRY TAX tee shirt from Larry Summers. The artwork is attached for your review. Thank you, Larry! To order a tee shirt, call Larry Summers at (252) 675-0467 or email him at larsum@aol.com.

Ttransportation for Raleigh trip (date to be arranged): We continue to work on logistics for transportation to Raleigh from each county. Thank you to everyone who is taking initiative, planning your own transportation, and getting ready to travel. Thank you! Email the "Transportation Coordinator" in your county to advise how many people are coming with you. We must plan where to park, provide information to the Capitol Police, obtain a parade permit, and other matters. We will provide each person with an official event sticker/name badge. We plan to provide your "Bus Leader" or Vehicle Driver with a Capitol Area map, agenda, and contact information, including cell phone and email.

Thank you to everyone who is working hard to win this fight! More later!
