BCCC to hold New Student orientation | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Beaufort County Community College will hold orientation sessions for new students Tuesday, June 26, to help newly-enrolled students become familiar with the campus and college policies.

    The sessions will be held at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Multi-purpose Room of Building 10 on the BCCC campus. New students may choose to attend either session.

    Students attending the orientation session will be allowed to meet with an advisor and register that day, a day before all other new students, according to Crystal Ange, dean of Student Services.

    "We hope that all students entering Beaufort County Community College for the first time this fall will attend the orientation session to meet campus leaders, familiarize themselves with the college and spend time with their fellow students," Ange said. "As an incentive, attendees will be allowed to register for classes a day early."

    At the orientation session, faculty and staff will give new students an overview of the college, the campus, financial aid and other services available to them. New students will also have the opportunity to meet fellow students who will be starting college this fall.

    The New Student Orientation is free of charge to new students enrolled to enter BCCC this fall.

    New students not attending the orientation session may register for classes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, June 27 and 28. Late registration is Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Classes start Wednesday, Aug. 15.
