Press Release:

    Good afternoon,

January's Consumer Price Index skyrocketed 7.5 percent compared to last year - the largest annual increase in 40 years. Real average hourly earnings fell 1.7 percent in January, with inflation eating up any wage gains and it's costing families thousands of dollars, yet Democrats are doing nothing to address the problem.

In the South Atlantic, inflation increased to a whopping 7.9%, which doesn't fare well for down-ballot Democrats like Cheri Beasley who have sat idly by as President Biden doubles down on the policies that caused this inflation in the first place.

Instead, Beasley's party leader is blaming anyone but himself. Whenever Biden says the word "prices," remember this: he lied about inflation for months, repeatedly lied about its consequences, and Democrats are letting him get away with it. Inflation is much worse than just a "bump in the road" and it's time the White House and the Democrats give real answers to Americans who are buckling under the weight of the Democrats' costly agenda.

"Since Biden has been in office, North Carolinians have watched the price of everyday goods skyrocket, and the rise in inflation won't stop until Biden is held accountable. It's clear that rubber-stamp Democrats like Cheri Beasley won't stand up to Biden's disastrous economic policies, which is why the people of the Old North State will be ready reject her at the ballot box this November."- RNC Spokeswoman Alex Nolley
