    The Beaufort County

Schools Transportation Department recently held their Annual School Bus ROADeo at Washington High School. Drivers put their skills to the test on a driving course, graded by staff from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles.

    Antonio Foskey, who is completing his eighth year of driving for Beaufort County Schools, took top honors in this year’s competition. He is a custodian and bus driver for P.S. Jones Middle School.

    Derrick Brimmage, also from P.S. Jones Middle School, took second place. Brimmage, who is a custodian and bus driver, is now completing his fifth year as a driver for the school system.

    John Palmieri , a second year driver from Chocowinity Primary School, rounded out the top three.

    Foskey and Brimmage will represent Beaufort County Schools in the Regional ROADeo in Nash County on May 3. The state event is in Raleigh on May 21.
