Press Release:

Washington, D.C.     Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act:

"I proudly voted in favor of emergency supplemental appropriations for Israel," said Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "Israel is our greatest democratic ally in the Middle East. The state of Israel has the right to exist. It has the right to defend itself. The heinous and unprovoked invasion by Hamas required immediate and deceiving action. We must make clear that the state of Israel and the Jewish people have our unwavering support."

"This aid package supports Israel in its military response and is offset by cuts to the IRS, which has been supercharged to target middle-class families and small business owners under this administration. President Biden and a Democratic-controlled Congress secured $80 billion in funding for the IRS, more than five times its annual budget, in order to hire 87,000 new IRS employees. House Republicans are committed to ensuring fiscal responsibility and reining in unpopular and abusive federal bureaucracy.

  • $3.5 billion in Foreign Military Financing for the procurement of advanced weapons systems and defense articles and services.
  • $1.2 billion for the continued development of the Iron Beam system to counter short-range threats.
  • $1 billion to support artillery and munitions production.
  • Supports US personnel and citizens by providing:

Murphy does get some things right, but he gets a whole lot wrong like voting for Biden's thousands of new IRS enforcers to gouge the middle class. voting for cancel culture against Southern heritage, voting for a big new building for the politically corrupt FBI, and others. He is no Walter Jones, not even close. I wish we had another choice in the primary. I hope when the Constitution Party gets back on the ballot they will give consevatives someone to vote for in this district. Murphy ain't it.
