Beaufort County's Government Picks a Chairman and Vice Chairman
Same as last year, the only difference being, the Center - Left Coalition grew by a factor of one.
For decades in Beaufort County's government, a new chairman and vice chairman is selected by vote each year with only one criteria, constructively that there be a political agreement among certain key elected members of the Beaufort County Commissioners. In Beaufort County's government, this stipulates that there exists a political strategy to form a Center, or a Center-Left Coalition of Commissioners from both political parties; these same politicians are at their utmost ready and willing to negotiate away a tremendous chunk of the their representative power, a power given to them by their (real) Republican constituents, as political chattel, to assuage the political needs and essential whims of their associative Democratic Socialist coalition members, and vote swapping counterparts.
While these political machinations of the Center-Left Coalition may seem innocuously innocent to some less perceptive by-standers, these power sharing moves are an amalgamated assimilation of multiple political directives of a combined dishonesty; predominately by the so-called (nominal) "Republicans" because of what it took for them to get elected by collecting the votes of (real) Republican-voting-citizens before they became the incumbents that they certainly are, but Republicans they are not.
Once elected, these erstwhile Republicans begin their metamorphous into the hybrid politician; all things for everyone, finding very little that they will stand-up for other than spinning a dishonest web of convenient little lies of a half truth existence; hoping that their voting base has significantly dumbed-down into constituents that embrace this brand of dishonest behavior, which is completely inconsistent with the Republican Plan of Organization's Platform of what it means to be an elected Republican official. The problem in Beaufort County has long been a series of unknowledgeable executive committees of the Beaufort County GOP, headed by a series of inept, compromised chairpersons. Realizing this truth, is it any wonder that Conservatives, and Real Republicans bind together into unsanctioned political groups that will adhere to real Republican ideals and values, when locally sanctioned party apparatuses will not?

People are so tired of listening to the ugly, hateful rhetoric of “The Hood”. He calls people names then goes & brags about it afterwards to his pathetic cronies. Even if he had a point to make the people tune him out. No one wants to listen to a nasty, narcissistic bully. Try staying quiet and listen to the people for a change.

When Randy Walker went full left wing cancel culture against the Confederate monument at Arlington Cemetery, I figured he had totally sold out and he has. We now have three Beaufort County Liz Cheneys without the skirt - Walker, Waters, and Rebholz. None of them are real Republicans due to their double dealing with the liberal Democrats.
Hopefully, we will have some more candidates file for county commissioner. I do not see a group capable of changing things, yet. Limited voting makes that hard to do. The Democrats have the whip hand to control our county commission even though there are only two of them. |

Sorry Marie Skon, I just know words, and a whole lot of other real and relevant substantive issues that you quite possibly could not be familiar with, myself preferring not to be dumbed down by pop or cancel culture, which may be topical and foolish, that which clouds the minds of others. Instead, 'what I sleep next to is not a thesaurus,' but the real truth which keeps me warm at night, and bright-eyed in the morning when I awake.
One more thing Marie, consider me an "old man" at your peril; I am as alive now as when I was far younger, but without the speed that was burning within my younger legs. Moreover, Marie Skon, my readers, like my constituents grow as I write this; so Marie ... WE are not losing, just as now you, who coddle to explain the Center - Left fools as low-mindedconsensus-building statesmen, are NOT winning, You will see soon enough. |

One thing for sure, one HR is representative in a place like BC, however electing a majority of HRs will lead to complete disfunction. Extreme candidates, either right or left, may sound good, but their inability to compromise means they cant govern.
