As Germany's left - liberal coalition is tanking in the polls, farmers across the country have launched widespread protests against government climate alarmist policies, blocking dozens of roads.  Tens of thousands of tractors  were involved in the protests, The country's truckers have joined the protest.  Similar protests in next door Holland helped ignite a massive swing to the right in that country's election.  Farmers plan to escalate if the government does not meet their demands.

As one farmer posted on social media "we are all united in trying to get rid of the politicians who are trying to get rid of us."

Recent polling shows the three main parites of the right, the traditional conservative CDU, the traditional very conservative CSU, and the populist nationalist anti-immigration right AfD leading in most of the country's individual member parliament seats (other seats are awarded from party lists based on percentage of the vote).  The CDU/CSU lead in percentage of the vote with 34% with the AfD second at 24.5%.  The three government coalition parties would lose more than half of their vote from the last election, and one of them lose all their seats in parliament.  The lead party in government, the Social Democrats runs third in the poll at 12%, a drop from 26% in the last election.  The only other party that would win seats is the far left Green Party at 10.5%.  The Free Democrats which are in the current coalition and the far left Left Party, which is in parliament in opposition would both lose all their seats.  The populist nationalist anti-immigration Free Voters, however, are gaining vote share and approaching the threshold to win seats but not totally there yet.

The farmers join an ongoing consumer protest movement against government climate alarmist polcies which has seen large turnouts at rallies..  One of the most vocal leaders of the consumer movement against climate alarmist policies is Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis.

It is good to see the leftist German government brought under fire on a variety of issues, but the one that is pulling them down the hardest in the polls is their open borders policy. Voters are upset over that all over Europe and all over America. In the last election, the Free Democrats took a position on immigration to to right of the CDU but now are in a coalition with a left wing open borders position. It is no surprise that their voters are fleeing like rates from a sinking ship. Come of think of it, they were also to the right of the CDU on scepticism over wind and solar, but are now in a govenrment pushing those things.
