President Joe Biden said on Monday that he would be willing to meet with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) about a foreign aid package that is making its way through Congress.

The roughly $95 billion bill that would allocate funds to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and other foreign priorities - including humanitarian aid - made it through the Senate last week, but its prospects don't look favorable in the House.

"I'd be happy to meet with him if he has anything to say," Biden said when asked about meeting with Johnson about the national security legislation as he returned to the White House from a weekend in Delaware.

Raj Shah, a spokesman for Johnson, said in a post to X that the speaker welcomes Biden's "reversal and openness to meeting with Speaker Johnson about the best path forward for securing the nation" and looks forward to the White House communicating when the president will be available.

Johnson has criticized the Senate package for a dearth of border security policy changes after an immigration deal was dropped from the legislation once a group of Republicans and leftist senators blocked the larger bill from advancing.

"In the absence of having received any single border policy change from the Senate, the House will have to continue to work its own will on these important matters," the speaker said in a statement.

NBC News reported that House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) suggested on Tuesday that a meeting between Biden and Johnson could lead to a resolution that would allow some form of the legislation to pass.

"Ultimately, the two of them could come to an agreement that can become law," Scalise said. "And yet the president refuses to even meet. So the president can't say he's serious about Ukraine or the border when he refuses to meet with the speaker so they can come to an agreement on this issue."

The White House appeared to be dismissive of the idea when Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre fielded a question on Wednesday about the speaker's office, saying the president had declined multiple requests for a one-on-one meeting.

"What is there to negotiate? Really, truly, what is the one-on-one negotiation about when he's been presented with exactly what he asked for?" Jean-Pierre said. "So, he's negotiating with himself. He's killing bills on his own."

On Monday, Biden rejected a reporter's question asking if he would go as far as to say deceased Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny's "blood is on the hands" of Republicans in the House.

"I wouldn't use that term, but they're making a big mistake not responding," Biden replied.

Understanding that there are two firm positions concerning the Open Border Crises, but many realties regarding its current, and, or projected real impacts to the functioning, sustainability of this Constitutional Republic: What position below best represents what you know to be true regarding this impactful policy?
The United States' must continue the Executive initiative of Open Borders until a Democratic Congress can codify full Demographic Inclusion by keeping the Biden /Harris Open Borders policy in place.
Our United States' borders are sovereign just as are our self-governed citizens, where borders must be maintained, monitored and defended, which is the position of core Republicans.
I am in favor of Open Borders to make my America more of a global community; however, the federal government must now fix problems that "Red State" governors have caused in our cities.
I do NOT favor the Democratic Socialists' disruption of the cultural fabric of my Representative Republic, and there will be Treasonous Hell to Pay when the certain calamity begins in earnest.

In the minds of many, since January 20, 2021, the World has become far less safe in every theater of conflict, beginning with the attack of Israel by Iran /Hamas, so the question becomes: What caused this Worldwide calamity of extreme geopolitical dysfunction, and what will correct it?
Joe Biden is the cause of this frightening Worldwide situation, and it will end when a Republican is elected president.
This delayed Worldwide dysfunction and constant conflict is all Donald Trump's fault, as it is with everything that occurs going forward, and long before the man ever became the 45th president..
Joe Biden is the "root cause" of this frightening Worldwide situation, and it will end when former President Donald John Trump is elected president.
In the imitable words of Alfred E. Newman: "What, me worry?"

26 days after the October 7th Terror attacks on Israel, where over 1400 Jewish men, women and children were gruesomely murdered, and hundreds more made hostage: Should the Biden /Harris administration finally state that the administration's primary Middle East negotiating partner, Iran, is behind the funding and strategy of the aggressors, the Hamas Terrorists, or continue to take the more moderate position of "Don't," which is clearly not working?
Yes, name Iran as the funding /strategy culprit, and begin to enforce the President Trump era sanctions to END Iran's ability to prosecute this war against Israel and the United States.
No, Iran is a valuable partner in the motives of the Biden / Harris administration, and must not be named as the culprit and our enemy.
I have larger concerns just to survive in this economy.

Should the Institutionalized Corruption of the Biden /Harris Administration, in this separate instance the Open Border Policy of our Sovereign Southern Border, be not only tolerated, but sanctioned by the raising of local spending by local politicians to pay for these now visible and known effects of rampant, and out-of-control Illegal Immigration?
Yes, it is a kind thing to do, and a way that our county, our state can aid in this tremendous effort toward local federal foreign aid; and now, thankfully, in great abundance.
No, our Constitutional Republic WILL NOT continue to exist, as our United States of America, if we do not control our sovereign borders, to protect our citizens, to keep them solvent and safe.
I only consider what is topical and popular since my friends, too, only care to do the same.
