Florida proposes "Alligator Alcatraz" to hold illegal aliens for deportation | Eastern NC Now

in the middle of the Everglades swamp

ENCNow

Florida's Attorney General has proposed a new facility to house illegal aliens arrested for deportation that he calls "Alligator Alcatraz".  It is an abandoned airport deep in the Everglades swamp.  If someone escapes there is nowhere to go or hide.  There are also plenty of alligators and pythons in the swamp that any escapee would likely meet up with.
