Commented on Shelley Berman Comedian - ExtraordinaireOne of the Funniest TV Shows of all time - "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
If anyone questions why Larry is so abjectly messed up, one only need to take a good look at his "Curb" father, Shelley Berman. What a great scene here below: beaufortcountynow.com

Yes T.A., I have been to The Wall - twice.
Shortly after I became a Beaufort County Commissioner, ins 1995, I was with a delegation of North Carolina officials, who were flown up to Andrews AFB in a C-130. We were given: a private tour of the Pentagon; the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier's Changing of the Guard; and finished at The Wall. More than once that day, I wiped a tear from my eye. If anyone thinks that I take that whole Patriot thing way too far, this trip to memorialize our greatest Patriots, is, in part, to blame. Standing there at the ominous Wall, watching the Changing of the Guard, standing at the foot of Lt. Audie Murphy's grave, I pledge to serve with dignity all the while I was allowed to as a county commissioner. About 19 years later, serving with dignity became a liability in the Beaufort County Republican Party, so all thing must come to an end, however, doing my small part to honor all Patriots, who served and sacrificed so much, gave me the opportunity to, in some small way, join the ranks of what means to be a Patriot. That trip to The Wall offered me the unique perspective to help put me on the proper path, here, in this awesome regard.

Wonderful poignant post by such a unique member of a "band of brothers"; unique in that few people on this Earth could have ever walked in those big shoes of yours to really know the pain of your loss.

Commented on Are Smartphones Making Teens Dumb and Dumber? This simple premise is the great irony of our age - smartphones are helping in making people more stupid.
This mini maxim is to adults and children of all ages: Put your smart phone down, learn how to think critically, learn how to write with purpose, learn how to read for retention, and know that you must get smarter, so try a little humility as well.

I am more inclined to appreciate the approach of Devin Nunes in the house.
So far the Senate committee has revealed nothing. The House Select committee has revealed Susan Rice and Obama's involvement. That is the level of true bipartisanship that I can appreciate.

I swear Bobby Tony: I don't know whether to accuse you of vintage Bill Clinton, or vintage Bobby Tony.
Do you ever wonder what would have become of the philandering Bill Clinton if he were a Republican? What position would he now hold with NOW (National Organization of Woman) if he were a Republican? You might not be able count on much from Liberals, but one thing one can always count on - their abject hypocrisy.

Excellent Analogy Bobby Tony, only, I started with this back in 2009, which makes this about an 8 year ongoing venture, so I was about 54 years old when I began.
Colonel Sanders owned his secret recipe, and I own the distinct, unique code for two content management systems (CMS): Symbiotic Publisher, which powers BCN; and Symbiotic Core Systems, which will large, multidimensional site. Yes, there is a big brother to the system that powers BCN so effectively. The biggest difference between me and the Colonel is that everyone understands food, few people understand how to be effective on the internet. Facebook does not help with its often inefficient, dumbed down site; and the stupefying, charlatan practice of Search Engine Optimization. Now, if I can sell enough people being smarter about how they use the internet, you will be able to say that "I knew that guy when." Everyday, I wish that you and i will have that long of a life. Here is a new site, in its infancy - just born - that employs the Symbiotic Core Systems CMS. themarketingofthings.com

If only we had hooked up 15 years ago, and SNI had already been formed, and we had found the that path where we were developing a content management system (CMS) as competent as Symbiotic Publisher, and BCN was running to the point that we had all these contributors, and you still felt this outstanding need to express all your mirth and wisdom that comes with some folks growing older, and, and ... and ... What if?
My offer will always stand for good friend Bobby Tony, and any good friends he may assimilate of a like, good and competent nature.

I was a fan of the early J. Geils Band.
They were pure Rock 'n' Roll, and their concerts wee always great shows. I saw J. Geils in Fayetteville more than once. Our Vietnam era G.I.s must have enjoyed the band.

I dig watching old guys play guitar. Maybe it forestalls arthritis.
Last night, I played so long, my wife wanted to run me out of the room, but, instead, went to bed. I reckon I need practice, which means, I am only going to play more.

Durham has been yanked up by the scruff of its neck solely because of the Research Triangle, but, it is one of the most liberal counties in North Carolina, and there are many in this state.
North Carolina is barely a red state, even with the Democrat party intellectually imploding.
