As a county commissioner, who taxes the public to pay for the Sheriff's Office for North Carolina's 5th largest county, in size for both land and water, I have to question: Why does relatively tiny Washington have such a large Police Department, and how does it have the resources to surveil anyone that is not a criminal?

The City of Washington is corrupt.

As a county commissioner, I will not grant any county money until the corruption is gone, and all debts to the targeted individuals are settled.

Of course, because of the Center /Left - Left Coalition, it does not really matter about what I do or don't do.

Of course, if the City of Washington would police themselves against their abject corruption, that would be a good thing.

Hood is Right!

We have a RINO infestation here in Beaufort County, where lifelong Democrats join the Republican party, then run for office, effectively running on the coattails of the Real Republicans that built this local GOP, primarily, by getting elected as Republicans, and then governing as Real Republicans.

RINOs are political frauds because they pose as one thing, but completely act as something entirely different. In today's society, when all measures governing remain critical that we get them Right; governing Right is the only path I know.

For some under developed position, the Beaufort County GOP completely refrains from vetting the local RINOs. That needs to end, and very soon.

The student enrollment is less than 6,000 now, and in the early days when I was a commissioner, enrollment was more than 7,500 students, and today, we spend far more money on education than we did then.

All these new schools that they are building is not helping the enrollment or the testing scores.

"RW" obviously believes that all discussions involving the schools should be of one where he 'fakes it until they make it" motif.
