Bidenomics will send the US dollar the way of the 1920s German mark or the 1990s Zimbabwe dollar. Better stock up on gold and silver, with some lead to protect it.

Almost all mass shootings happen in gun free zones. Mass shooters are cowards and commit their crimes where they don't think anyone will be able to shoot back. The best way to stop mass shootings is to ban gun free zones.

Lockdowns were the ChiCom approach to Covid, which the ChiCom dominated WHO recommended to other countries. That fool Fauci advocated that totalitarian crap here. Faucism is just another way to say Fascism. Before the ChiCom stooge took over the WHO, its pandemic response was based on herd immunity, not lockdowns, but the ChiCom stooge Tedros changed all that. Now the facts show the ChiComs were wrong and the pre-ChiCom WHO had been right.

This new WHO pandemic treaty is nothing but a ChiCom power grab. If that blinkered fool Biden signs it, the states should pass laws saying they do not accept it as binding on them.

High winds are nothing new, whether straight line, tornado, or hurricane. They have been happening since the dawn of time and will continue to happen. Building wind and solar farms in out of the way places has led to a lot more power lines being up, and that is what increases the risk of wildfires, plus the fact that wind turbines themselves fairly often catch fire and can be ignition sources.

Illegal aliens have also proven to sometimes start wildfires through negligence or intent. Large numbers of jihadist Muslim illegal aliens and ChiCom illegal aliens hostile to the US, increases the risk of intentionally set wildfires.

Stan, in the wacky world of the cult of Climate Scientology, their narrative tells them that anything bad that happens is the fault of "climate change / global warming". If this dude gets mugged or gets a speeding ticket this evening, he will find a way to blame it on CO2. They are all complete nutters.

The Chamber is also not exactly friendly to tax cuts. Brinson showed his true colors when he voted on the New Bern city council to raise taxes. We can conclude he is lying when he sends out postcards or others do for him that say he believes in tax cuts. That claim ia contradicted by Brinson's actual record in public office.

The pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology is like the medieval church. Then, anything bad that happened was a punishment from God. The only difference is that now anything bad that happens is supposed to be a punishment from manmade global warming. In the medieval church, you could pay the Pope an indulgence to be allowed to sin. In Climate Scientology, you can pay the Pope of that pagan religious cult, Al Gore, an indulgence called a carbon offset to be allowed to sin (emit carbon). Yet many are bent on making Climate Scientology in effect a state religion.

McConnell has been an ally of Democrats far too often. He did all sorts of deals with both Obama and Biden to agree to overspending, and in one case sold out for an Obama earmark for Kentucky, which was deemed the "Kentucky kickback". Since Biden is back, McConnell supported restoring the corrupt "earmarks" grift to federal budget, earning the title of "Earmarxist". McConnell has also led resistance to conservative efforts on many policy issues like trying to repeal Obamacare. He has too often been working with the Democrats to support big spending which has caused all the inflation we are now suffered. Good riddance to this pompous big spending jerk.

Hey, Little Bobbie, just go enjoy a globalist dinner of bugs and worms. Just go by Tractor Supply and pick up a package of mealworms. They are now sold as food for chickens, but the globalists want to skip the chicken and feed they directly to YOU. Tractor Supply will also sell you that other favorite they also want to put in human diets, crickets, also in the Tractor Supply section of foods for chickens.

Yeah, all those federally subsidized wind turbines in Texas, not only make their grid unreliable but are also prime ignition sources for wildfires.

But realistically, the wildfire problem these days comes mostly from bad forestry management practices dictated by the environmentalists.

I have received two of those postcards claiming Brinson is for cutting taxes, but as a New Bern alderman, Brinson's actual political record is of RAISING taxes, and he has already done that in the part of a term he has actually served. It seems that the postcards put out on his behalf are full of outright lies. Who would believe a word of any of them?

"Summer in February"? Nuts! Little Bobbie ought to learn a few more real facts about weather before spewing his climate alarmist nonsense. Weather systems, high and low pressure move from west to east all year, and the winds rotate around them, with wind blowing up from the south on one side. That brings up higher temperatures from the south. This has gone on forever. The impact of El Nino and La Nina cycles which have also gone on forever have the effect of amplifying or depressing the impact, as well as keeping the jet stream higher or lower. None of this has anything at all to do with CO2. They are all natural cycles that have always gone on, as are the longer term natural cooling and warming cycles.

And that last bit of gibberish indicates Bobbie probably needs some mental health help.

Former Czech Republic President and Prime Minister Dr. Vaclav Klaus said it best when he described climate alarmism as "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, demcoracy, and prosperity in the world today." Yes, "climate communism" fits it well as does "eco-fascism".

Hooray for Europe's freedom loving farmers. They are fighting the battles for all of us.

Bolshevik Bob, you are nothing but a tool of the globalists, pumping out their absurd propaganda blaming CO2 for what are actually natural climate cycles. Maybe you know that you are deliberately spewing propaganda but maybe you are just an ignorant lemming too dense to understand it. I doubt you have the brainpower to understand the real science on this issue, presented in a British TV documentary broadcast nationally on the UK's Channel 4, entitled "The Great Global Warming Swindle": www.youtube.com

So Bobbie has finally figured out that it is natural cycles that control weather, not the globalist fantasy propaganda of "climate change". Yes, Bobbie there is an annual climate cycle wheter it is hot in summer and cold in winter. It has always been that way. There is another natural climate cycle that will impact this summer, and that changes every two or three years between El Nino patterns and La Nina patterns. The El Nino pattern that has been in effect is now clearly shifting to a La Nine pattern, but I am sure the globalist propagandists will claim its impacts are really from their fantasy "climate change".

You lefties are just so so gullible. The European farmers who are in mass revolt agaisnt the globalist climate agenda have a very apt term for it - "climate communism".

The real takeaway here is that this is just another policy area where Tillis is out of touch with the Republican base and off marching to a leftist drummer. He badly needs to be priimaried out of office. We certainly do not need to be electing any Tillis (or Berger) endorsed candidates to ANY office. Berger is just as bad for supporting radical climate alarmism.

Beaufort County voters should be especially wary of Berger-backed candidates due to Berger's role in gerrymandering our county a few years ago into a Democrat-dominated majority black district so he could get rid of Senator Bill Cook. That makes Phil Berger an enemy of Beaufort County. Berger was calling the shots in that redistricting and he wanted to push through a far left green energy bill but knew that Senator Cook was very knowledgable in that subject and would fight for the ratepayers against that nonsense. So Berger gerrymandered Beaufort County to get rid of Cook so he could pass that liberal John Kerry / Al Gore / Greta Thunberg bill. That also makes Berger an enemy of conservatives and of electric ratepayers.

NEVER BBRGER (or Berger flunkies).

Reality check! One of those Brinson mailings came out today claiming "Bob will ALWAYS vote for tax cuts for Eastern North Carolina families and small businesses". Funny thing, that is NOT what he did in his partial term as a New Bern alderman. His actual record in public office shows that Bob Brinson in reality voted to RAISE taxes for the taxpayers of New Bern.

Mike Speciale is the candidate who in eight years in the legislature voted repeatedly for tax cuts and never for a tax increase. Bob Brinson is the candidate who in less than two years as an alderman has already voted for a tax INCREASE.

Lets look at the facts and the record, not Brinson's false claims.

Oh and a second mailing came out today, too, from Berger's non-transparent dark money group that claimed Brinson is "transparent". How crazy is that? A non-transparent dark money group claiming their candidate is "transparent"!

The worst part of this smear is that Berger knew it was a lie when he put it out. I remember talking to another legislator right after WRAL's hit piece. This was widely discussed in the legislature at the time about how this was being distorted by a very biased media outlet and turned on its head. Speciale's attempt to improve the bill by making it more enforcible was presented as being opposed to the bill and hating dogs. It was a red flag to legislators to be careful that they avoid saying things in a way that could be taken out of context by a hostile media. This was so widely discussed, that Berger certainly knew the truth but chose to lie instead because it suits his political purpose.

It is also interesting that Steinburg coorperated with the hit on Speciale, but one has to consider the context there. Steinberg was a huge supporter of wind and solar energy and the Greta Thunberg agenda generally, and is now even a paid lobbyist for wind and solar. Speciale was a staunch opponent of subsidies and mandates for wind and solar, and one of his successes for conservatives was forcing the removal of all state tax subsidies to wind and solar from the budget. Steinberg and Speciale were at loggerheads on an issue that was important to Steinburg and he used the opportunity to take a cheap shot.

One of the huge differences between Speciale and Brinson is that while Speciale voted repeatedly to reduce taxes in the legislature and never to increase them, Brinson in his partial term on the New Bern city council has already voted to RAISE taxes.

Stan, There may not be a party far enough to the left for Little Bobbie currently on the ballot in NC, so he may be unaffiliated. That would allow him to take a GOP ballot. That is a good argument for closing the GOP primary to real only registered Republicans. Why should Republican haters be allowed to vote in Republican primaries?

You make a very good point, Van Zant, about most people's loyalty to their church revolving around their local congregation, not the far off national denomination. Church members usually look to their friends in the local congregation, their local minister, even a cherished church building rather than the agenda of a distant denomination office. Why would someone prioritize a national church body unless it was over ideology? In this case, it appears that promotion of homosexuality was the lightning rod in the split, with the Global Methodist Church rejecting that promotion. Someone would really have to be wound up in the issues involved to leave their longtime local church. I can readily see how this would concern voters particularly over a school board member,

Personally, I am not in Mrs. Walker's district, but if I was my vote would have been determined by the fact that she is part of the "seat warmer" faction that fails to give proper financial oversight to the liberal school superintendant Cheeseman, or, in fact, proper oversight of much of anything.

Randy Walker initially impressed me with his many social media posts about being a watchdog for the taxpayer, but once he won the primary, he took all of those down. Instead, Randy has become a lapdog of the county manager and the ruling coalition, and has not looked out for the taxpayer at all. With his record he would never have had my vote anyway. He has been part of the group piling up a slush fund instead of reducing taxes. With the revaluation coming, we need pro-taxpayer commissioners now more than ever, and Randy just is not one of them.

The state motto Esse Quam Videri is Latin for "To be rather than to seem". That is what voters need to look for in elections, those who are the real deal instead of those just telling voters what they think the voters want to hear as Randy did in his first primary with regard to taxes.

PHil Berger has played a shell game with taxes because he refuses to cut spending. He gives tax cuts one place but raises taxes another. Real Republicans cut taxes and spending.

In the State Senate race, Bob Brinson still in his first term as New Bern alderman (city council) has already voted to raise taxes. In four terms in the State House, Mike Speciale never voted to raise our taxes. The candidate who is for the taxpayer is very clear there, and on top of that, Mike Speciale was one of the founders of the Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association, and served as its past president. Speciale is for the taxpayer and Brinson is against us.

WE don't need Berger Boy Brinson as our senator.

Solar panels are full of harmful substances including carcinogins, and they are being dumped in landfills when they wear out. They are a ticking environmental pollution timebomb. That is REAL pollution, in contrast to CO2 which is a natural substance, not pollution, that is beneficial to plant growth.

Solar panels and wind turbines also hurt people, especially the poor, by making electricity more expensive and less reliable.

Digital currency is the anti-privacy control mechanism of the globalist left like the WEF. Every conservative I know, both tradtional and populist is opposed to it. Republiicans are actually working on roadblocks to digital currency as have recently been passed by the Republican legislature in Florida. It is Biden's appointees who are pushing digital currency, not Republicans.

Most Republican activists also oppose any type of voting connected to computers, and most especially online voting. Requiring paper ballots is very popular among Republicans.

When it comes to raising taxes, Brinson has linked up with fellow travellers in Beaufort County. One of his main campaign operatives is big spending tax raising liberal Republican county commissioner Frankie Waters, who boasted last election that he had raised taxes in three of the eight years he had been a county commissioner. Another is big spender John Rebholz. Both Waters and Rebholz have a long history of lining up politically with liberal Democrats instead of fellow Republicans. That is what is pushing Brinson in Beaufort County. They say birds of a feather flock together. All of them are prone to raise taxes and increase spending.

And, yes, in his short time as a New Bern Alderman, Bob Brinson has already voted to raise taxes there.

Michael Speciale, on the other hand was one of the founders and an early chairman of the Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association, which fights for the taxpayers against big spending.

The fact is that if you look at Earth's climate history, the alternating warming and cooling cycles clearly have nothing to do with CO2. That is a red herring from the climate alarmists. A good example is looking at the 20th century. Most of the warming happened during the Depression when industrial production was more limited. After the Second World War, when industrial production really took off, temperatures fell. They did not start rising again until the next recession. The temperature pattern, even within the current natural warming cycle simply does not fit with industrial production.

For your Chicken Little crowd, the Industrial Age conveniently started just as the most recent cooling period, the Little Ice Age was ending, so of course temperatures went up coming out of a cooling period.
Commented: Thursday, February 1st, 2024 @ 5:20 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
The theory that CO2 had an impact on climate was proposed by a Swedish physicist in the 1890s and got no traction in climate science and was largely forgotten until a British scientific magazine, the New Scientist published an article on this old and forgotten theory in the 1970s, and first British politicians and then UN politicians decided it could be useful politically. The British politicians insured its revival by dumping a bunch of government research money behind it, and that is like dragging a $100 bill through a trailer park to too many scientists. Now the WEF globalists have gotten involved, too.

In reality, the Earth's climate history has seen a repeated cycle of multi-century warm cycles and cool cycles. The last cool cycle, the particularly cold "Little Ice Age" or Maunder Minimum ended in the 19th century and we have been in a natural warming cycle since.

The last warming cycle, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today and a period of great wealth, not a period will all the bad things today's climate alarmists claim. The granddaddy of warm periods was the Holocene Maximum when it was much warmer than today for 3,000 years and none of the dire consequences claimed by the climate alarmists happened. This cycle coincided with the heyday of ancient Greek civilization and their writings do not indicate any negative effects from it.

Real science show these cycles driven by the level of solar radiation, not the level of CO2. In fact the study of ice core samples shows that the levels in CO2 in the atmosphere do not precede temperature changes, but in fact follow them by several hundred years. That means more CO2 is a result of warming, not a cause of it.

Folwell's the man! The only conservative in the primary who delivers on the issues. Robinson talks a good game but sits on his hands and does not even try to deliver. Graham claims to be a conservative although most of the issues he has engaged in like green energy are to the left so he is a counterfeit conservative. We need a doer, not a talker for governor.

Ever written a book published in eight languages? No, I didn't think so. I asked a friend in New Bern if the other guy had done anything for the taxpayers on the New Bern city council and he could not come up with a thing he had done to cut taxes and spending.

IT is absurd to allow all these unvetted illegal aliens into the country. They are not medically examined and are bringing in diseases that had previously been eradicated in this country.

They also are not able to pay for their living expenses. In contrast, legal immigrants are required to pass very thorough medical examinations and to present proof that they can financially sustain themselves, either from their own resources or from the financial pledge from a sponsor. The illegal aliens largely end up mooching off of the taxpayers.

The Cheeseman fanboy / fangirl who posts as "Bath parent" has it ass backward. It is Cheeseman who is giving the orders and the six members of the CHeeseman faction who are following them. These clueless six don't seem to comprehend that Cheeseman is their employee instead of their boss. It is pathetic to watch Cheeseman giving them hand signals of what to do at board meetings and regularly whispering in the ear of chairman T.W. Allen of what to do.

Most government bodies like the county commission and city council seat their chief bureaucrat, their city or county manager at the staff table where they belong. Only the weak as water school board seats their superintendant up with the elected officials so he can control the action. With the school board, as someone said, the tail is wagging the dog. The elected board members are supposed to be policy makers while the superintendant is supposed to carry out their policy. Instead, our weak school board members are letting our liberal superintendant run the whole show.
