Ok RA. A boy arrived in a buggy to take his girl friend to church but little brother was not available to escort and the parents trusted them. Half way. he grabbed her and stole a kiss. Strapped to a fence post each father delivered a whip lash and her honor was restored.

A wagon train of CSA Vets and families including all the McDs left for what is now the small town of McDonald Chapel, Al. My family tree is full of Rev. Back then they were farmer during the week and preached on Sunday without seminary training.
I will tell about the bull whip training later.

@Robert Anthony. Comment by Robert Anthony. Co-writers or what?
Anyway, I am surprised to find this group of commentators on your site. I followed over from a comment you made on my article. Your articles are a stretch for me and that is what I enjoy about your work. Thanks.

I never thought about the gear common to mountain climbing and trees. Trees would be better than a climbing wall for practice.

Commented on Across North Carolina: Volume VIIIPhotography takes us above the Snake Line. I heard Snake Line in a sermon. It is the height on a mountain that becomes too cold and the air too thin for snakes. I use it to mean where angry people seldom go.

Commented on Trapped in my own homeI spent many years in the construction industry and remember the cost of permits and the worker comp payroll cost. I am sure many homeowners were tempted to use unlicensed workmen.

Commented on Cherokee ConfederatesGood question. I plan to visit Americana Brazil where 20,000 Confederates emigrated in 1867. I understand Texas has legal rights as a Republic to separate back to an independent country. Love it or leave it might be easier than I thought.

Great comment. There are millions of well armed vets in this country. I have read articles that many of our enemies realize this and are reluctant to even imagine an invasion. Enemies: foreign and domestic.

I agree that showmanship is a necessary skill for preachers even today. Maybe a Seminary professor can interest his audience in a well thought out debate. I am really better at asking questions than answering them.

My sales training included audio, video, and critique by the other salesmen to correct "ticks" and other distracting element to the presentation. I was amazed at things I never recognized about myself. But you can over do. The customer must first like or tolerate you and if perceived as "phony" that will be a problem.
I think Writers take on a different personality to accomplish a goal or empower themselves to face the critiques.

Psycho Photo. My friend Gene taught me to look at a photo long enough to write down the feeling and thoughts invoked by the picture. A minister might see the Devil in the snake. My daughter sees a son in danger. I see a brave boy.

Afro Canadians may have solved their problems. I Googled and could find no information on Afro Canadians. The search for Black Canadians suggests that 2% of Canadians consider themselves Black while 17% are obviously Black. What are they teaching in history class up there?

Nobody will miss the men sports eliminated as long as football remains.
