The "big money" is what we need to be very wary of in the climate cult scam. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. recently spoke to that very thing, declaring that a group of the world's billionaires were using the climate scare to impose a totalitarian system on the rest of us. This is one of the key gambits of the globalist totalitarians of the World Economic Forum.
The climate cult is the biggest doomsday cult in history, but the snake oil salesmen who run it have repeatedly been shown to be wrong. They have already made dozens of dire predictions that they claimed would have happened by now if they were correct, and not a single one of them has come true or even come remotely close to coming true.

Industrializing the oceans with offshore wind turbines damages the tourism industry, damages the commercial fishing industry, damages the environment by killing seabirds and marine mammals like whales, and is the most expensive way to produce electricity. It makes our entire grid vulnerable to very long term outages from hurricanes. It is a rotten political fix for a fantasy "problem".

China leads the world in PRODUCTION of wind and solar equipment, which they con western coutnryies into buying, making western countries dependant on Red China for energy. How stupid is that for the west? For themselves, they are building scores of new coal fired power plants, with useful economic lives of over half a century. If you think they are going to abandon them after a few years use, Bobbie, then I have a bridge up in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.
China is building electric capacity for industry, NOT airconditioning. With the cheap and reliable coal fired power, they will run circles around the west's espensive and undependable wind and solar. And they are laughing that gullible fools like John Kerry actually believe the things they say.

You Climate Scientologists are just pure nutjobs. The Earth is simply in one of its natural multi-century warming cycles. The last cooling cycle, the Little Ice Age or Maundaer Minimym ended in the 19th century. This warming cycle is not as warm as the last one, the Medieval Warm Period, nor the granddaddy of all warming cycles, the Holocene Maximum. These cycles have always rotated, and do so naturally. The fact that some self serving scientists now want money and power by claiming manmade CO2 has something to do with it is laughable.

To rational people, those not in the crazy climate cult, coal is a great option. It is cheap and reliable. Regualr coal is fine, but if you have your panties in a twist over CO2, then there is always clean coal technology, using coal gassification.
China and India are building hundreds of coal fited power plants, while they push the wind and solar that China manufactures on us. That is a deliberate effort to make us dependant on CHina for our electricity and gain an economic advantage of cheaper and more dependable electricity for themselves.

ESG is a "woke" dogma like DEI and CRT. The "S" in ESG stands for "social justice" which most of us would call plain old socialism. That woke / common core math curriculum just approved by our school board is packed with that "social justice" far left political indoctrination. Our school board let us down.
But it is good to see our State Treasurer Dale Folwell standing strong against use of our state's pension investment funds by Blackrock to push ESG. Folwell took the proxies away from Blackrock to put a stop to that. One of the reasons Silicon Valley Bank failed was its coroprate risk officer was spending her time on pushing ESG instead of dealing with the real world of corporate risk.

Now we know who is causing global warming. When we can't afford air conditioning because the Biden Democrats have run up the cost, they will be the ones directly responsible for our own personal warming inside our homes.
In the last multi-century warm cycle, the Medieval Warm Period, air conditioning was not invented yet and people made it through until the following cold cycle, known as the Maunder Minimum or the Little Ice Age arrived for several centuries. During this natural warm cycle, we do have air conditioning if the climate cult would just let us use it!

A "big business bill" is almost always going to be a bill giving some aspect of big business an undeserved favoritism and that is what crony capitalism is all about, using government to give your business an unfair advantage over competitors. That usually means big business getting an advantage over smaller competitors.
A good ecample was the NC Green New Deal bill. While small and medium sized businesses came out to the hearing on the bill, HB951, to oppose it because it will raise their electric costs significantly, and consumer representataives did the same, the crony capitalist NC Chamber of Commerce supported the bill, because one of its influential members, the state electicitry monopoly Duke Energy would make money off of it. This writer with Long Leaf Politics just doesn't seem to get it, while the Daily Haymaker understands it perfectly. Crony capitalists are not the friends of ANYONE else, not small and medium sixed business, and not consumers. The Chamber of Commerce, state or national, has not represented the interests of small and medicum sized business in years, but pushed corrupt crony capitalism instead, and this bill is but one example of crony capitalism. The politicians who hook their wagon to crony capitalism are not the friends of free enterprise or of consumers, either.

The maddening thing is watching RINOs like Berger Moore, and this district's Sen. Jim Perry (RINO-Kinston) following the path of Biden, AOC, John Kerry, Al Gore, and Greta THunbuerg on this Climate Cult nonsense. The NC RINOs have given us NC's Green New Deal, HB951, which had already given us one double digit (17%) electric rate increase and will be certain to give us lots more based on what the EU's less radical Green Deal has done.
Offshore wind is the most expensive way to make electricity, and that is what the liberal Democrats and the RINOs seem to be all-in for. Our electric bills will soar, and come a moderate hurricane, we may be without electricity for a long time. Not to mention the huge harm to the environment by industrializing our oceans.

If you look at all the data, going all the way back, including the tree ring data and ice core data, what emerges is a cycle of long term multi-century warming and cooling cycles that have gone on throughour Earth's history. We came out of the last such cooling cycle, known as the Little Ice Age or the Maunder Minimum in the mid-19th century and have been in a warming cycle since then, so, of course temperatures are rising. Because of the way sun spots impact water vapor on Earth (which is the most important Greenhouse gas of all), we may be due for a reversal soon if the astronomers predicitions on sunspots come true.
An interesting aspect of the data that blows the whole theory of manmade global warming due to CO2 out of the water is that the study of ice core samples shows that the rise in CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere FOLLOWS the rise in temperature by several hundred years, meaning it is a RESULT of the warming, NOT a cause.

The bill that matters is the one to change the governance structure of NC's public schools at the state level. We now have a very "woke" state Board of Education due to appointees of leftwing governor Cooper. The change that is sought and that would empower parents and other citizens is to elect the state Board of Education from Congressional districts. That is a very needed reform.

You are parroting one of the climate cult's big lies, their claim that CO2 is "pollution" which it is NOT. CO2 is a necessary nutriet for plants. Without it, all plant life would die, followed by all animial life as the food chain collapsed. Plants take in CO2 in photosynthesis and give off Oxygen. It is part of the cycle of life. It is profoundly ignorant to call CO2 a "pollutant".
Alos, you climate cultists deny that the Greenhouse Effect is necesary for life to exist on Earth. Without it, the planet would be too cold to sustain life. You denigrate something that is necessary for life on earth. And you focus on some of the most minor greenhouse gasses. The most important greenhouse gas, responsible for over 90% of the Greenhouse Effect is water vapor. The pagan cult of Climate SCientology ignores climate history to make claims that have no basis in fact and demand that policy be massively adjusted to meet their demands.

Then there is the granddaddy of warm periods, the Holocene Maximum, when it was much warmer than today for 2,000 years. The Bronze Age of human development occured during the Holocene Maximum and we know where the ancient Greek and other civilizations of the period had coastal cities, and NO those do not show any sign of "sea level rise" either, nor do ancient Greek writings. You must be smoking something really strong if you think you see "the planet melting".

Forcing people to buy electric cars does NONE of that. All it does is make us even more dependent on China. Electric cars batteries are made of lithium, a toxic substance, and disposing of all of those dead EV batteries is going to be the real environmental nightmare. And when lithium burns, the smoke can kill you, maybe not right away, but it can cause multiple organ failure.

Al Gore and Barack Obama have both bought multi-million dollar oceanfront mansions in recent years. They put their own money a very different place from where their mouth is. So why is Big Government Bob so gullible to believe it? Actual history disproves their theory anyway. The Earth periodically rotates between centuries-long warm spells and cold spells. The last warm spell, known to climatologists as the Medieval Warm Period was much warmer than today, and we know where all the low lying cities in Europe were located then, and NONE of them recording any rise in sea level from the global warming of that period. One can look back even farther to the longest and hottest warm period the Earth has experienced, the Holocene Maximum, which correponds with the Bronze Age of human development. Again, we know where the ancient Greek and other cities were located during that period, and those locations show no probleme with a rising sea level and none of the ancient writings say anything about one. So, I call BS on you, Big Government Bob.

This electric rate hike comes from ONE thing, NC's Green New Deal, HB951, and we will be seeing a lot more of these if the experience of the pushing of "green energy" elsewhere is any indiciator. I guess it is called "green" energy because it takes a whole lot more "green" out of the wallets of electric ratepayers. Germany is a good example. Since Merkel's "Energy Transition" German residenntial electric rates skyrocketed with continual rate hikes until they were three times what North Carolinians pay. This is where the RINOs and Cooper are taking North Carolina and it is disgusting.
What is even more disgusting is that the local state senator, Jim Perry, was a big player in pushing this Green New Deal on North Carolina. Perry is a special interest hack who cares nothing for the consumer. This liberal RINO needs to be voted out of office next year.

The EPA needs to have its powers stripped if not being outright abolished. They are a threat to democracy as they exist today. Major decisions like they dictate should be made by elected officials not unelected bureaucrats. Putting what is actually legislative functions into the hands of an executive branch agency is a threat to separation of power.
This is also a matter of establishment of a state religion, Climate Scientology. It is not suprising that Big Government Bob is all for this eco-fascism.
