Commented on NCUC’s Initial Carbon Plan Raises QuestionsThe recent rolling blackouts on Christmas are a foretaste of what these greenie idiots - Cooper, Berger, and Moore - are bringing to North Carolina. Duke Eneergy has already prematurely closed some coal plants, including the one in Brunswick County just a few weeks before the rolling blackouts and that is why we do not have enough electricity. As they close more under their "carbon plan" it will just get worse. Intermittant sources of power like unreliable and expensive solar and wind power just do not cut the mustard. The only way to protect our electric ratepayers is to repeal HB951, which is more radical than the EU's climate crusade. North Carolina Republicans were sold down the river by Phil Berger and Tim Moore, and the writer of this article was right there working with Berger on this scam in the legislature.

Commented on NCUC’s Initial Carbon Plan Raises QuestionsThis Log Cabin Republican is one of the ones pulling Locke to the left. HB951 is NC's Green New Deal, and contains no "brilliance". It is only "bipartisan" in that the establishment House and Senate "Republican" leadership of Moore and Berger sold out to the special interests and screwed the NC Republican base and NC electric customers. Duke Energy is as "woke" as it gets and is all in to the radical ESG nonsense, and they and the solar / wind grifters are who Berger and Moore sold us out to.
Locke is destroying its conservative reputation by hired a greenie like Bellievue.

This is probably designed to bleed over to illegal aliens as well. Already, there are probably way too many illegal aliens who Social Services has found ways to put on the welfare rolls, either through their children or otherwise, and that is sapping federal, state, anc county taxpayer funds. This needs to be stopped.

Commented on Great ExpectationsI understand that our new conservative trio has been reaching out to some of the other board members in trying to find votes on key policy. I hope they are successful, and we start to see our School Board adopt a pro-parent position instead of being lapdogs of the school bureanracy. I agree that there is a lot to do and voters are anxious to start getting it done. If they can't find two other votes, there are going to be a lot more defeated incumbents in the 2024 cycle.

At the time, Speaker Moore's refusal to call the Parents Bill of Rights up for a vote was a real head scratcher. The votes were there in the House to pass it. It was election time. Sure, Cooper would probably veto it, but it put Democrat legislators on record on an issue where voters would not agree with them. Then put it up again for a veto override and make them vote on it again. That would have been a heck of a campaign issue if the Democrats held firm, but Moore took a pass on it. That made absolutely no sense at the time. It seemed to reek of political malpractice. Now, however, one can connect the dots between Speaker Moore and the homosexual lobby, and why it happened is just too crystal clear, and too infuriating. Moore needs to go. He is not serving the Republicans of North Carolina and our interests.

Commented on Rare Opportunity: President And Rough Rider Teddy Roosevelt’s Revolver Goes Up For AuctionThe Spanish American War was a war that Big Media of the day pushed us into. Spain probably had nothing to do with the explosion on the battleship Maine, which was not at all in their interest. It came within a day of being an extremely consequential war for the US, because that is how long the Imperial German Far East Fleet lost their race with Dewey to reach Manila Bay. Imperial Germany wanted the Phillipines and when the war broke out, they ordered their Far East Fleet based in Kaio Chau, the German version of Hong Kong on the Chinese coast, to steam for Manila. The goal was to position the German fleet in front of the Spanish to force US Admiral Dewey to either attack them first or leave. If the former happened, the Kaiser was ready to go to the Reichstag for a declaration of war, and America would have found itself fighting the world's second most powerful navy at the time (the UK's Royal Navy was the most powerful). As it was, the German fleet was a day late and while they steamed around trying to provoke an attack by Dewey, including landing German marines, Dewey was smart enough to ignore them and they eventually steamed away. Even after the naval gambit failed, Germany offered to buy the Phillipines from Spain and take on evicting the Americans themselves. That is why in the peace treaty with Spain, the US paid for the Phillipines while Cuba and Puerto Rico were ceded without any payment.

So the big spender anti-taxpayer coalition rides again. Disgusting. Frankie Waters is a puppet on a string to Jerry Langley and our liberal big-spending county manager. GOP senators needed to ditch Tax Hike Mitch as leader but they sorely failed our taxpayers and Republican voters. Mitch McConnell and his turncoat leadership is why we do not have a Republican senate majority right now. We all know Thom Tillis is just as big a traitor as McConnell, but I was appalled that Ted Budd did not join the conservatives in pushing to get rid of McConnell.

Electric buses are downright dangerous. One had its huge lithium battery spontaneously combust in Connecticut, burning up the bus, and Connecticut took all such buses off the road. Paris had three electric buses spontaneously combust and burn up, the last one while out of service on a busy public street where there was lots of video of it. They also took their electric buses out of service. So far, there have been no passengers or staff on board when these buses went up in flames, but watching the Paris videos, the fire moved so rapidly that if there had been most of them would have been dead. Roy Cooper is a climate crazy who is trying to push that wacky doctrine on our state.

Sam Bankman-Fried is the new Bernie Madoff, and like Madoff, he is a Democrat contributor and even a much bigger one, sedond largest Democrat contributor this election year, and now it is clear that was with stolen money. What also needs to be investigated is the role of another crypto company, Binance, in keeping this under the radar until after the election, a clearly partisan move. When FTX reached the point of collapse weeks ago, which would have been a pre-election disaster for Democrats, Binance came forward and talked about buying FTX to rescue it. FTX was a Ponzi scheme train wreck and that was never going to happen, but it staved off the explosion until after the election. Then several days after the election, Binance said "never mind".

What is even more interesting is that the German Finance Minister has called for allowing fracking to allow Germany to get more gas. Finance Minister Christian Lindner is a member of the only right of center party, the Free Democrats (FPD) in the present coalition. His party was just wiped out in the state election in the important state of Lower Saxony due to its national alignment with the leftist coalition government. Lindner seems to be wanting to put some daylight between the FDP and its coalition partners, the Social Democrats and Greens. The latter, however, would probably rather have Germans freeze than to allow fracking. www.breitbart.com

Perry's role in forcing the NC Green New Deal down our throats is reason enough to throw the bum out, but his pushing the Obamacare Medicaid expansion is almost as bad. With "Republicans" like Jim Perry, who even needs Democrats? I like the idea of expressing my disgust with Perry by writing in Bill Cook, who was always dependable in voting for the taxpayers, and wish I had heard about it before I voted.

Gaskins' politics are bad news, and reason enough NOT to vote for Rogerson, but he is not the only lefty behind Rogerson. So is the New Jail mafia that wants to spend many millions on a totally unnecessary new jail. I think Gaskins may be a part of that, too. Jerry Langley, the godfather of the new jail movement is backing Rogerson, as is Langley's sidekick on the commission, Ed Booth. So is RINO jail advocate and Langley ally Frankie Waters. Electing Rogerson would be an expensive endeavor for Beaufort County taxpayers.

Commented on Did Frankie Waters Vote to Make it Possible for Illegal Migrants to Receive Beaufort County Taxpayer Assistance?BCCC has students from several other counties around us. Will Beaufort County be paying their tuition and fees? Will their own county be doing it? Or will they have to pay it themselves? Beaufort County taxpayers should not be on the hook for any of this, but it becomes even worse if they are not even Beaufort County citizens. If a BCCC student comes from Hyde or Washington County, for example, who pays for their tuition and fees?
With illegal aliens, FAFSA covers "qualified non-citizens" and that includes those seeking asylum, which includes a huge percentage of illegal aliens coming into this country. They are taught to claim asylum even though very few of them will actually qualify for it if they show up in court. Most of them know that, too, and never show up for court. Who besides bona fide Beaufort County citizens can get this "free" tuition? The Frankie Waters majority hung the taxpayers out to dry on that one.

This is indeed Bernie Sanders socialist plan implemented in Beaufort County. We knew Frankie Waters was a spendthrift. He always has been with the taxpayers' money. But to embrace Bernie Sanders' socialism is a new low for him. I am very surprised and shocked however at Randy Walker voting for this Sander's socialism. I had expected better from him.
The only two commissioners willing to stand up against Bernie Sanders socialism appear to be Stan Deatherage and Hood Richardson. They called this scheme out for what it is, socialism.

Commented on Did Frankie Waters Vote to Make it Possible for Illegal Migrants to Receive Beaufort County Taxpayer Assistance?Sooo! Mr. Loope stated something was a policy that in fact is at present only a PROPOSED policy, not yet approved by the Board of Trustees. I hope they approve it to keep our tax money from going to illegal aliens.
It looks like the college is doing something the county commissioners should have done. They left the barn door wide open for the money to go to illegal aliens. They did it knowingly and with one of the governing coalition members openly stating he wanted the money to go to illegal aliens. But there is a bigger issue here. "Make college free" is a national policy objective of the left wing of the Democrat Party. Why in the world is a supposedly Republican majority on our county commission carrying out a national leftwing Democrat policy objective? Beaufort Promise is something AOC or Bernie Sanders could have produced.

Commented on Did Frankie Waters Vote to Make it Possible for Illegal Migrants to Receive Beaufort County Taxpayer Assistance? The video of the commissioners meeting is clear. The budget does NOT restrict that free tuition money to US citizens. That issue is left up to the community college, and the president of the community college had told the commissioners he wanted to fund tuition for illegal aliens. One of the Democrats on the commission majority openly said he supported that and the rest of the majority did not care. Only conservatives Deatherage and Richardson expressed concern about Beaufort County taxpayers money being used to pay for illegal aliens. Most of the discussion on that issue happened about ten or more minutes into the video. The video shows that five of our commissioners knowingly facilitated use of our county taxpayers money to fund tuition for illegal aliens at the community college. Shame on them.
