I think we are not talking about the same thing. A plant based diet means you eat, whole grains, fruits & vegetable, some dairy and a little meat. It does not mean you live on impossible burgers. Plant based meat products are OK but they are highly processed. One can live on them alone.
Lab grown meat is meat. If proven safe, the market, not MAGA should decide.

In ENC, African Americans went to inferior schools as late as the 1970s. Some of these schools are still standing although no longer used to warehouse people of color in "schools." I can even point some of them out because I know where they are. Nobody forgets. forgive, yes. forget no.
Considering what we put them trough, I would say African Americans have done very well. DEI just attempts to level a playing field that we created. i get why it upsets you. It's a reminder of what we did and unfortunately some just have the ability own it and move forward.

Anyway you shake it, Americans eat too much meet. Modern Ag treats animal horribly, is tough on the environment and provides a product in quantities that just isn't needed. I'm no vegetarian, but Think how we raise our food is important and profits should not be they ONLY consideration.

Back then privilege meant you got to ride at the front of the bus, get an education, drink out your own water fountain, sit in a restaurant, lynch black people with impunity etc. Now things are more subtle but correcting them wasnt Marxist then, and it's not now.

For CG - I would simply say this in in a way that I hope makes sense. God gave us the earth. He also gave us free will. CT on the good side, almost nobody believes your BS. That's just fact.
On the bad side, our economy is so hooked on fossil fuels, it makes change difficult and possibly impossible. As such, some look for comfort in your arguments. Hopefully the next generation will wise up. There will be a tipping point, but so far I don't see it.
