I remember when George Washington was removed as the symbol of Washington High School, in the city of Washington, NC, which claims the high honor of having been the first named after President Washington.

Now, why in the world would they remove old George as our symbol. You all know. The woke was here even back in 1994 -95.

A woke employee convinced the school and the Senior class that President Washington was old and dated.

So they replaced him with some old ancient Greek symbols such as the winged feet of Mercury, the comedy and tragedy mask, and an oil lamp.

Let's bring George Washington bust back as the symbol of Washington High School. Its only appropriate. Do the right thing for History.

I dont know how any reasonable person could claim Stan is not a journalist. Those being jerks about this should look in a mirror.

Journalist - Wikipedia
"A journalist is a person who gathers information in the form of text, audio or pictures, processes it into a newsworthy form and disseminates it to the public through various media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and online platforms. Journalists inform the public about current events, issues, and developments, serving as watchdogs of government and institutions and facilitating democratic discourse. This is called journalism."

One wonders how Kamala, a very flirty and girly woman plans to convince the predominance of male world leaders to accept her policies?

She can't F them all... or can she?

Yes Bobby technically you would be a pilot. But what kind of pilot?

In truth, you would be a "pile it," one that "piles dumb rhetoric here, and piles it there." You leave piles of it wherever you go.

Just my humble opinion.

Since the beginning of writing, we have had citizen journalist...hired or unhired. Why do always play stupid?

When a foreigner has a baby in the USA, it is just an accident of
geography. It in no way makes that baby a NATURAL sovereign citizen of the USA.

I know that babies born here are given a birth certificate and they are then allowed (after an application) to be recognized as a USA
citizen. But just the fact that an application is needed is fact that they are NOT a NATURAL citizen.

A Natural citizen is one who is born here to parents who are also
citizens. A natural citizen is one who is NOT born here as a dual
citizen. They are Natural citizens because they can NOT be considered anything other.

I hate to say it this way, but its like a puppy born to certified
collies. The puppy is a natural Collie. Natural is the KEY word in the Constitution...and applies ONLY to the office of the Presidency.

Kamala is NOT a Natural Citizen. This is how we end up with a Marxist running for the Presidency. Dont vote for her.

Kamala is what u get when the two parties allow a Non-Natural Born Citizen to run for the Presidency.

Kamala Harris is not even eligible to be President.

She's an anchor baby whose parents were foreigners.

Her parents were here on student visas. Her mom had an expired student visa when Kamala was born.

Kamala grew up in Canada and San Francisco w the Marxist ideals of her parents.

Why are we willing to allow a foreign anchor baby, a dual citizen via application, to occupy the White House?

The closer a nation orbits toward etatism and away from capitalism, the graver the danger. Read more in new essay on Ludwig von Mises’ “Omnipotent Government”.

"The thesis of etatism that the members of the government and its
assistants are more intelligent than the people, and that they know better what is good for the individual than he himself knows, is pure nonsense."
~Ludwig von Mises, Omnipotent Government.

"The Beaufort County Board of Commissioners and School Board have become textbook examples of administrative government. That is, these members are present during meetings but have abandoned the real work of setting policy and forcing out liberal, socialistic and communist dogma and policy. They leave it up to their hired help."

WHY did you leave out the Washington City Govt. It is as useless as the others you mentioned. ALL THINKING THERE is left up to the City manager who even writes the motions for the clueless council members.

AND whatever became of the public records request by Ceres abt the Housing Authority? The corrupt city ignored those request. That tells yu all u need to know.

Clueless voters are getting what they deserve! Corruption.

How does Kamala plan to handle a strongman like Putin?

Will she lay her delicate hand upon her breast, demurely tip her head to one side, smile submissively... sending th message: I'm just a little guy, please dont hurt me... all the while, planning to take him to the bed & F him to death?

If that is her plan... then I must cheer her on. LOL
... or, is that what he plans to do to her.

OMG! Did I read Commissioner Deatherage's comment correctly?

He indicates that "one day" he will stand up and fight for us. One day, he will reveal the corruption he knows to exist... sigh... show some courage! Be that single grain of sand that starts a landslide.

This "one day" shit is why corruption continues.

If free speech really existed, Commissioner Deatherage wouldn't be afraid to reveal what he knows, THIS day.

Be more like Hood, instead of just dittoing him.

I try to catch up on the post here at least within 8 days. I skip all the post from Bob. It saves me a lot of time. I find him mean, vengeful & bitter... one who intentional tries to hurt others. If I see someone responding directly to Bob, I skip those too. Saves me even more wasted time, dwelling on useless one-up-manship.

Come Hell or high water, when I vote, its going to be for Hood Richardson and Donald Trump. The only two I can count on, day after day, to try to do the best they can to protect WeThePpl, and our tax money. And, they do it at the sacrifice of their own well-being. God Bless them.

Its a dangerous thing that so many others lack honor and integrity.

Lazy elected ppl give up their thinking caps 2 the hired staff.
The staff love it, because they know they have th power.

A school board member told me many yrs ago, that he was busy, he had a family, a job, and things to do, and so that is why "we" depend on the staff for these things.

The Washington City Council totally depends on t CityManager who OWNs all of th staff. Staff need 2please him 2keep th job. Test it urself...go ask a council member anything, & he will tell u he will need to ask th citymanager.

EVERY single motion or bill approval, is scripted by t citymanager 4 a council member 2read. It sounds so professional until u realize they were handed a pre written script 2 read. I doubt that many of them digest what they r even reading...4 example what loophole is there 2 unknowingly approve.

Govt ppl r slack & self-serving. If they dont start out that way, they easily turn that way. They think WeThePpl r just an irritant 2b managered.

VOTE Hood! Hood protects taxpayers!

IF u want 2preserve th Constitution, Kamala must not b allowed 2b Prez. She's not qualified per th Constitution as she's not a NaturalBornCitizen. She was born a dual citizen, so she certainly isnt a NaturalAmerican. A NaturalAmericanCitiz en is 1 who, when born, can be none other than an American citizen. How can this be? It is because, when born here, ones parents were also USA citizens. This baby can be none other. No other nation can claim that person. It is a pure American. The only place in govt that requires a "pure" American is the Presidency.

If this were not the rule then, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán could b t father of a future Prez, since he has several children born in t USA. Our Founders feared the King of England becoming the father of a future Prez.

In th Constitution, it states a Senator must b a citizen, but when it mentions th Presidency it states, 1 must b a NBC.

The Founders wrote an exception 4those alive at t Founding.
Kamala,Cruz,Vivek,Haley,Rubio r not NBC.

The Ten Commandments are the foundation upon which our nation was built. “Our Constitution,” wrote John Adams, “was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

The Rule of Law depends on moral people abiding by it and enforcing it. Today, we’re short on both.

Shapiro notes, “A society that abides by the Ten Commandments is going to be better than a society that does not.” That’s not a prediction. It’s a survey of the last 50 years.

Why is so much governing done n th dark, behind closed doors n LittleWashington & BeaufortCounty? Well, because the elites here long ago decided that WE pple cannot b trusted w "decision making." Rep JerryNadler told Congress that we cant trust th voters to do the right thing n an election.(summary)
We cud chewers here n th south have allowed ourselves 2b ruled by elites so long that they simply expect it. Dont get out of line!

I witnessed this 1st hand abt 30 yrs ago at an organizational meeting 4 school parents to do volunteer wk 4 high school.
We each chose our favorite subject & then regrouped to talk it over. Lo and Behold...an "elite" shows up and announces that she is our Chairman. I say WAIT... dont we pick our own chairman? She said, I dont know... I was told to come 2 this table 2b th Chairman.
So as I sd: The local elites & Governing Bodies dont trust WeThePpl, 2 do th right thing. We cant b trusted 2 do THEIR AGENDA. It really is time to stop being a farm grazer

Our Justice system has become a joke all over the USA, and the local Govt/Justice system has always been part of the good ole boy system, right here in Beaufort County, & Washington,NC.
I've been told there is not one local attorney who will challenged the local govt and or its good ole boy local police system.

If this isnt true, will one of the great talkers here on Beaufort NOW, show me I am wrong? If no one does, it proves I am right and the people here only want to gripe about the National and State level.

I know one person who was told that if they didn't like the way the City Council ruled, then they should hire an attorney. They know the game is rigged. Citizens have no power here or anywhere.

All Hood is doing is asking the commissioners to do their diligent duty, stop being lazy, and not just sit there as rubber stamps for other agencies. In other words, put in an effort! THINK! Yes, thinking is hard, but that is what you signed up for.
Put in a effort to protect the citizen's money! Plan ahead so that the unforeseen doesnt take you by surprise. STOP embarrassing yourselves by showing your behinds!

Would someone move Ed Booth to the other side of the room, I am tired of seeing him rolling his eyes and laughing broadly whenever Hood talks.

Beaufort Couty can be great again, when the commissioners start loving the citizens, more than the hate Hood.

AND... school board members lets staff do their thinking... I was told, "we have a job, family and a life outside here, that why we have staff."

The first thing I think about when I hear the word lynching, is
cowboys.
Westerns were a big thing on TV when I was young. They were always lynching a white cowboy on those shows."Let's lynch him." "String him up."
The heroes were Roy Rogers, Hop along Cassidy, the Lone Ranger, Gene Audrey. ANd... as I recall, those doing the lynchings were always judged harshly, and as bad ignorant people.
Usually a Sheriff would shame the Town's people for even thinking about it.
We are all a result of the bubble we live in. The only thing an honest person can do about that is try to see issues from other people's viewpoints. That is the way to avoid learning to hate.

For example, I'm just glad I didnt live among those people that executed farm animals because they had been raped by a boy.

I suppose "lynching" and "hanging" are two diff things.
However:
"Thomas Granger, was executed in the Plymouth Colony in 1642. Granger was a servant to Love Brewster in the Plymouth Colony of British North America. At the age of 16 or 17, he was convicted of “buggery with a mare, a cow, two goats, divers sheep, two calves, and a turkey” according to court records from September 7, 1642. His crimes were considered severe, and he was sentenced to death by hanging."

Having a Fair Trial, the animals were executed too.

Overheard:
“Don’t show me the law, show me the judge.”
I've also heard it said: Never hire a lawyer from Washington,NC.

But, if you intended to do it anyway... do some research. Find out which lawyers that your Judge wines and dines with. It matters here... probably Everywhere!

And remember the great thing about small towns is this: IF you don't know what you are doing, then just ask someone, because they Know. LOL

Last thought: Why is it that none of the opinionated people here, give a darn about our corrupt local Govt? I think I know why, local govt is so corrupt that we citizens fear it MORE than our State or Federal Govts. Revenge and ignorance is popular among small minds in small govts.

"Give a person an ounce of power and you will quickly learn their true character!"

Whatever became of the public records requested of the Washington Housing Authority? They just thumbed their nose at ALL of us and have NO fear that they will be held accountable... no one is.

Its ok to be compassionate but its not the role of the Govt to be
compassionate. Everyone in Govt swears an oath to protect the Constitution. The Constitution provides for equality of treatment...not equity of treatment. NOT the picking of winners and losers by said Govt.

Remember... if we all have equal rights, then you must also remember that "your rights END where my nose begins." Otherwise you as a Govt, are showing favoritism. When a Govt shows one person a favor, then that Govt (Washington,NC) is stepping on the toes of a different
citizen. (corruption)
Let's leave it to charities and individuals to be the compassionate ones, to help those in needs.

I got big news for you.
Our NC law enforcement officers do NOT enforce the law regarding illegals, driving without a license either. Right here in Beaufort County, an illegal told me he was stopped by officers. He didnt have a driver's license...and they let him go without any citation. There are people in the area that license and insure the vehicle, but let the illegals, without a drivers license operate that vehicle.
True story.
