The Judiciary Committee has oversight period. People with nothing to hide, especially Public Servants with the ability to REVOKE YOUR FREEDOM AND LIBERTY, should never have to hide what they are doing or have done to advance or advocate for such a grave punishment from public scrutiny if they are following the law. If they need to keep secrets then something is wrong. SUNLIGHT- THE BEST DISINFECTANT!

So excited about this great news. I am curious what place did Solar and Wind play in the economic growth of our economy since 2011? It is my understanding that 1 billion in tax credits which result in tax dollars heavily reimbursing solar and wind industry projects is money going out with not much ROI for the state. It would seem that this would cause a little drag on the economy because tax dollars were applied to a technology that is not as efficient as we were led to believe. The windmills outside Pasquotank and Perquimons Counties are only producing 75% of the energy that was first estimated. Meanwhile electric bills are increasing to subsidize the Power companies complicated system to manage the grid with solar/wind tied into it. Higher electric bills is going to increase both business and family expenses. Has anyone factored in what would have happened in our economy if this was not present, as well as the impact, if any, to future growth due to the solar/wind industry factor? Supposedly Germany is suffering from the burden economically of having invested heavily into renewables creating a burden on business and families power bills escalating, thus resulting in an exodus from their country. California is also supposedly suffering from similar renewable energy unforeseen negative impact which may have heavily contributed to the bankrupt financial system in that state. Just want to know what is being done to ensure we don't over invest in renewable energy initiatives and state mandated requirements that could drive up costs even further than the most recent increase, which was sizeable?

Read this article to refresh your memory about who Steinburg told us he would do. Instead we have spent 1 billion dollars on Renewable energy, our electric bills are higher and the property taxes for the renewables was reduce to 20% due to an 80% tax discount. All the jobs created were temporary. Solar and Wind is not efficient and has caused other countries who invested heavy into this Ponzi scheme to face their music with the real results....citizens and jobs leaving due to the excessive electric bills and drain on economy. Blessings and I hope this helps people in their search when considering whether we want to continue having Bob Steinburg represent us here in North East North Carolina. They were talking about this on Stossel last Friday on his episode about rising medical costs. He was discussing the benefits of letting the free market into medicine and direct primary care. Stossel makes the argument that by having government and insurance companies in between the customer and business, it lessens the quality of service provided. Additionally, he mentioned this medical service called Pager. www.cnn.com

It is good that you are getting serious about tax reform BUT, the flat tax is just another form of income tax. Take the power and the opportunity for abuse away from government. Replace the income tax, flat tax with a consumption tax. Collect the revenue needed to run the government at the point of sale. Retailers are already doing it for state taxes just expand to include Federal tax collection. That way there are no tax filing requirements, Get the government out of our personal finances all together

Every allegation the Democrats have made concerning Trump/Russia collusion is based on sources claiming leaked information obtained by wiretapping and surveillance of Trump's campaign. Trump was brilliant to claim he was wiretapped. If the media claims that Trump was not wiretapped then they must admit their Trump/Russian narrative is fake news. They can't have it both ways. Trump trapped them.

Frankie likes to be able to say he saved people by making EMS go paramedic. He can not show how many he saved.
Washington Fire Department is supposed to run two EMS units. Because they are required to have at least one paramedic on a unit they are unable to do that. WFC has one paramedic per shift which means if one is sick or out they can not respond unless someone is called in to work. Paramedic level requires to specific manning so if the county had not gone to paramedic we would all be better. Because Washington does not respond two units you often see other county units having to respond to their calls which means their area is not covered. There would have been nothing wrong with leaving us at EMT level. I believe that you would have been able to still have a paramedic if the person was trained but by not being required you could still respond. At least we have not gotten as bad as Pitt County who has a doctor riding around in a SUV. |

Gary Ceres who never hesitates to spread his warped & hate filled vendetta on public platforms, reminds me of the high school mean girls who make fun & games, while using their "Stinking Thinking" to bring strife and division to the vulnerable public, & in particularly Stan Deatherage, whom they think is so weak, that their words can turn Stan against his friend, & fellow conservative, Hood Richardson.
WHY th local GOP party, hav appointed Ceres 2 be their appointed liaison & representative, to assist 2024 candidates, is a mystery to me. Surely, they can see that he does not have an honest and fair-minded personality to do that job properly. His actions reflect poorly on the local party. He should resign or be fired. |
