He was instructed by the City Council by majority vote to produce a budget budget that substantially cut taxes, but instead produced a tax and spend budget. Van Zant, you are right. The vote to substantially raise taxes was 3 to 1, with Joe Davis the only NO vote. There is lots of fluff in that tax increase budget, as there was in the last one. Perrault actually denied at last night's meeting that he had even run on the Tax Cut Team. I am sure that is news to voters who voted for him.
Perrault's other interesting line was to accuse Joe Davis of only wanting to reduce his own taxes. The reality is that a successful young businessman like Davis can afford his taxes a heck of a lot more than our senior citizens on fixed incomes, but he still cares about those senior citizens. Perrault apparently does not. Perrault owns no property in the city and thus is exempt from the tax burden he is imposing on others, including those senior citizens. |

What a disgrace. Our city council is a three ring circus; you have Tyre always trying to channel Idi Amin, and Perrault constantly channeling Benedict Arnold. Tyre is part of that Sadler machine that sent the thugs to hang around outside and then inside Nick Fritz' restaurant to harass his customers and staff and then to go to his house to intimidate his children in a rotten scheme to force Fritz off the council. Perrault is the guy who ran on the Tax Cut Team, but then started palling around with tax-and-spend kingpin Tyre, and has now voted for a big TAX INCREASE. Perrault seems to be making himself into Tyre in whiteface.
Washingtonian, there is a term for politicians like Tyre, and that is Powerbully. |

Hoping this primary takes out the trash in Raliegh and we replace King Berger, Corrupt Dixon, and Merciless Brent Jackson, all seemingly cool with putting small business owners out of business. Sorry that you are so misinformed Conservative Voter. Unfortunately, in Beaufort County, we have limited voting when it comes to the commissioner’s race. There were 3 Republicans and 1 Democrat running. This limits many things. The PAC decided to go after the Republican candidate and the Democrat didn’t have to spend a dime. I’m sure he appreciated the work of the PAC. Maybe the Beaufort County Republican Party needs to go through an endorsement process??? We saw the Beaufort County Republican Party out there every day working hard for Republicans. Yes, they helped all Republicans. I may just need to start attending the Republican Party meetings. I have been to two PAC meetings and it was disgraceful the way Hood talked to people and talked about people. It was an angry, bitter room.

Hello Conservative Voter, thanks to the Beaufort County Republican Party, the citizens celebrated a successful election. Hood’s PAC used almost all the funds they raised to attack fellow Republicans and to reimburse himself for copies, etc. Didn’t work too well for them. The Republican Party donated money to the candidate for sheriff, Supreme Court candidates, school board candidates, and had boots on the ground from beginning to end. You know you are spreading misinformation and not the whole story. It’s unfortunate that Stan has tied himself so closely with Hood, but time will tell the impact on each one. I would suggest responses be screenshot. Wishing everyone a good day. God bless. Hood would not even pay $10 for a plate of bbq to support the Republican candidate for sheriff.

I saw the Beaufort County Republican Party at the Board of Elections working for all candidates. I saw your PAC out there only supporting the ones you wanted. You were attacking fellow Republicans and smearing their names with nasty banners and articles. I’m surprised charges for party disloyalty charges have not been brought against you. I pray that God will come into your heart and remove the hate and anger that resides within you. The citizens of Beaufort County are getting sick of your lies and nastiness. You just want people you can control to do your dirty work. It is my hope you will not be re-elected as commissioner. As you said, you are older than President Biden. Time for new leadership and someone that actually cares about the citizens in this county.

From what I hear from local teachers, most of them ARE members of the NCAE teachers union, which is the state affiliate of the national NEA teachers union. Both are heavily involved in leftwing politics unrelated to education issues.
I have not heard if there is an organized local chapter of the NCAE teachers union beyond local teachers just being members of the state unit of the union. However, it was clear that teachers were heavily involved in the campaigns of two NCAE members for our Beaufort County School Board who won nominations in GOP primaries over conservative school board incumbents. |

Here they diss many Revolutionary War flags including the Gadsden flag, the 13 star Betsy Ross flag, and others, and historic Confederate flags. They even burn the current American flag. In the UK, they diss the Union Jack and the St. Andrews Cross flag of England. In Canada, it is their Red Ensign. Yet they want to shove things like their "pride flag" is our faces or wave foregin flags at their riots for illegal aliens.
If these anti-democratic thugs get their way, it may soon be illegal to display the longtime national flag of Canada, and at the same time illegal to object to the obnoxious "pride flag". How long until they declare Canada a "people republic"? |

Let's call this what it is. Max Perreault didn't just flip on his voters — he is now actively participating in the systematic erasure of a duly elected council member. Removing Davis from two committees in one meeting, using procedural points of order to cut off his microphone, hiring a city manager without a public vote as required by law — and Perreault sits right there and votes yes to every single one of these power plays. The Beaufort County Republican Party knocked on doors for this man. Conservative voters turned out for him. He has repaid every single one of them with betrayal so complete it almost requires admiration for its thoroughness. Benedict Arnold at least had the decency to do it once.
