It was reported that many of the families with students in Snowden are looking forward to the new arrangements after the closure. I’m sure it is not ideal for them but they seem positive about it.
On a side the note: The Top Lie of the Decade: “Our milkshake machine is down at the moment” I mean give me a break, if they ain’t gonna make it, just take it off the menu already! |

I frequented this wonderful place in the late 60s. I met a few who are emblazoned in my memory. I wouldn’t give anything for the experience. I even fell in love there.

The problem as I see it is fear. Right now the fear factor is in the back seat. However, when fall and flu season returns, the media will amp up the fear propaganda, and the return of masks, social distancing, and lock downs. We can hope that people will rebel, but it's not likely judging by past reactions. Plus the unjabbed will probably be blamed for every case of the sniffles. Boosters may be involved for all the 'variants'. Sadly, most people lack fundamental scientific understanding, and buy into the propaganda.
Good luck getting a member of the cult to even listen to information that doesn't follow the rules of the cult. It's the new accepted religion. |

Just because you are a honest person, you should never think others are honest, especially if money is involved. In today's world, data is money.
Sadly, its almost impossible to opt out of the surveillance world short of moving to a desert island, and that probably doesn't work either. |

Perhaps the overtime includes the long hours Williams attended conventions and over night trips often in the company of young female subordinates….and let’s not forget the position that was created under his tenure, his highly paid assistant to actually do the duties of a 911 Director. Both still exist at the expense of positions that had been funded and used for patrol deputy slots….not to mention the understaffed communications center…I wonder how many years of irreplaceable experience were lost when employees were forced out to make room for friends and yes men?

I was not familiar with this story until I stumbled upon Westerby at the early voting site about a week out from the election and he turned his head away from the crowd, and said with a big grin on his face, "an Exocet Missile has been launched out here" Intrigued, I studied up on the battle, and quickly became hip to what was going on when the next time out there I saw the target babbling away on his cell phone as a couple of dozen voters walked right pass him. It reminded me how the air 'defence officer was talking on a satellite phone when the missile hit.

This article brings up some very concerning issues about Williams, who supports him and why? Is this the old boy system at work? Does it indicate future corruption? Certainly someone so eagerly sought after and endorsed by Democrats and defense attorneys brings up questions about whether Williams is a true Republican. How impartial would he be as a judge? Seems like he'll be soft on crime if defense attorneys are supporting him that much.
I suppose the most troubling thing is the question of ethics. Not only of the judges mentioned in the article and their decision to be involved in a campaign, especially outside their own party, but Williams' ethics or moral compass himself. A review of the Williams campaign finance reports does indicate the majority of his funding (between 67 to 87 percent based on differing analyses but clearly a majority) comes from defense attorneys. What will he owe them afterwards if elected? What do they expect in return for their support? However, the biggest concern for me came in the mail. I got a letter promoting Williams, a palm card or brochure, that came in an envelope with a return address of Jones & Sasnett, P.A. in Washington, NC. The postage wasn't a peel and stick stamp but a Pitney Bowes stamp machine ink printed postage mark. It appears from this that Jones & Sasnett paid for the mailing, a campaign contribution. This seems to violate Campaign Finance laws about taking contributions from corporations or businesses. Whether this is a violation of Campaign Finance law or not and the repercussions are above my knowledge level. It certainly brings up serious moral questions in addition to legal questions regarding Williams and his campaign. It is even more concerning when you expect someone wanting to be judge doesn't seem to follow rules, laws, and seems questionable in their activities to get there. |

You can't put a time limit on God! I believe if you do that is not God speaking! We should allow the Holy Spirit to do what He do until He is finished! We always limiting God but want the full blessings He has for us! We make time for what we want to and it's sad that we try to limit the one who gives us life! What if He rushed giving us breath, rushed getting us safely from point a to point b, or what if He rushed His patience with you? If we are going to make time for anyone it should be Him!
