Commented on Beaufort County Republican Convention - EarthquakeStan, the Texas State House of Representatives had a similar arrangement for a number of years. The Speaker was a more liberal Republican and he formed a coalition of Democrats and less conservative Republicans to hold power because he would have lost if he sought the backing of the Republican caucus. He went too far when he crossed Governor Abbot on one of the governor's pet issues, univsersal school choice and blocked the governor's bill in the House. Governor Abbot responded by recruiting and endorsing primary challengers to the Speaker and his allies. The governor's candidate beat most of the Speaker's allies in the primaries and now the Texas state House has a new Speaker who is a solid conservative elected solely by Repbulican legislators and just passed the governor's universal school choice bill.

I have to wonder just how high those salaries will be once DOGE begins to whittle Planned Parenthood down to a more manageable size, then gone.
Every taxpayer dollar given to Planned Parenthood is tainted with felonious fraud, a grande fraud in full view of everyone who can actually think.

Commented on Beaufort County Republican Convention - EarthquakeRINO Hunter: Frankie Waters is a Democrat; Randy Walker is a Democrat. I do not even think of them as RINOs any longer.
They joined the Republican Party so they could fulfill their dreams of growing up to become a Beaufort County Commissioner; by slithering upon their path as an insidious interlopers in this political party that people like Steve Rader, Hood Richardson and Stan Deatherage built here in Beaufort County, each to achieve election as Republicans simply because they could not get elected with an uppercase D by their names; then, as any person with a full working brain can recognize, they govern as Democrats; therefore, I know them as Democrats. Each year in December, when it is time to vote for leadership positions on the county commission, they caucus with the Democratic Socialists on that board of commissioners, combining their ideals to become the Center-Left Coalition, where these Knockoff "Republicans" swap votes for leadership positions to share power throughout the year; continuing to vote in lockstep on major issues to keep their Center-Left Coalition in unison, ergo, the People of this county will pay higher taxes ... It already has happened, it is unavoidable going forward. The Republican Party Platform allows NONE of this behavior, yet it has existed for decades here in Beaufort County because of continued pathetically weak leadership within the Beaufort County GOP. The beginning of the end this abhorrent behavior has just begun. RINO Hunter, you are not the only RINO Remover here in Beaufort County.

Commented on Beaufort County Republican Convention - EarthquakeWeren't Kelly Cox and Frankie Waters forced to resign from the Executive Committee for openly suporting the Democrat candidate for sheriff in the 2022 general election? Party disloyalty has been dealt with to a point, but one wonders why they have been allowed back in the fold after that?
If I were in your shoes where nominally Republican commissioners form a governing coalition on the county commission with liberal Democrats instead of with fellow Republicans, I would be concerned, too. In fact, all Republican voters should be concerned about that. The election for the current leadership of the commission has already happened, but I hope that the county party will put pressure on all of those who ran as Republicans to actually function as Republicans the next time commissioner officers are elected. Republican voters expect that. Just like he supported the Democrat sheriff candidate in 2022, Frankie Waters has been supporting the Democrats on the county commission. Republican voters expect better.

Commented on Beaufort County Republican Convention - EarthquakeStill, Party Disloyalty has NO Statute of Limitations.
I have had a belly full of the decades of Party Disloyalty, and I expect that to be solved immediately so that being an elected Republican, a Real Republican in Beaufort County, will mean something again. The Beaufort County GOP now has the opportunity to make full amends and start acting as a real Republican party, and I expect it to do so pretty quick, or the Beaufort County GOP will continue to remain USELESS.

Commented on Beaufort County Republican Convention - EarthquakeI have been around the Beaufort County Republican conventions longer than anyone now active, having attended my first one as a delegate in 1979 and participated in all of them since that time except fot the five years I was working in eastern Europe advising pro-western political parties there. I guess that made me the oldest rat in the barn on Saturday for the 2025 county convention.
The result of that convention is an opportunity to rebulid working relationships between various groups in the party. Two outgoing leaders who held strong personality disagreements with certain groups did not run again. All four people nominated for those positions were people willing to work with all factions. That changes the chemistry within the party in a very major way. On top of that, we now have all groups being able to participate on the county executive committee. The reelected chairwoman, Carolyn Garris has demonstrated an ability and willingness to work with all groups, as well as strong campaign and fundraising abilities. The doors are now open for everyone to work together to promote the Trump agenda. Personality conflicts do not advance the conservative cause, and hopefully we are now in a position that we can build a party that works cooperatively. We need to be looking forward, not backward. It is critical that President Trump succeed and we need to be able to give him all the help we can.

Commented on The Judicial Insurrection is worse than you thinkTHese "judges" are far left Democrat political hacks wearing black robes. They have declared war on our democracy and they must be defeated.
We should remember that Biden repeatedly ignored SCOTUS rulings on student loan foregiveness. Lincoln not only ignored court rulings he did not like, but actually issued an order for the arrest of one judge he suspected was about to issue a ruling he would not like. If push comes to shove, Trump needs to stand up for democracy by following Lincoln's path. These partisan Democrat hack judges are playing with fire.

Commented on The Judicial Insurrection is worse than you thinkWhy are these "judges" and everyone that voted for them being charged with insurrection since they planned this and are trying to over throw the President?
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer admitted on PBS this week that Democrats intentionally stacked the courts with 235 “progressive judges” in order to stop President Donald Trump “time after time after time.” www.thegatewaypundit.com

Human health is an important reason to regulate wind and solar energy production by strong county ordinances. THere are toxic substances involved in both as well as the harmful effects of the operation of wind turbines.
Another reason is to make sure these things get cleaned up when they are no longer functional. Hurricanes and tornadoes can shatter a wide area of wind turbines, scattering shards of glass as well as toxic substances. When they wear out, there needs to be a bond posted to cover decommisioned them and removing them.

Schumer and every Democratic Socialist leader, and politician: local, state and federal are prime evidence as to why the Democratic Socialist party is the "walking dead."
If all you have as a policy, over the nearly last 9 years, is to fight President Trump to stop him from being the great, strong president that he is manifesting in his every bold act; as he strenuously endeavors to save this Republic, then everyone with a full working brains knows that the Left is losing, and have lost for so terribly long.

Commented on The Judicial Insurrection is worse than you thinkThe highly political orders of federal district court judges appointed by Obama and Biden are a threat to the doctrine of separation of powers, which is fundamental to our Constitutional republic. They are a flagrant violation of presidential powers, and in some cases even disregard clear rulings of the US Supreme Court. Of the 81 nationawide restraining orders entered in the whole of American history, 15 have been entered in the last few weeks. Federal courts have long overreached into legislative powers, but now it is executive powers where their overreach is being felt.
There are several impeachments of these judges in the works in the Congress, and while they may have to votes to initiate an impeachment in the House, they will not get the 2/3rds vote in the Senate to remove them from office. The Democrats will defend their own. I would suggest another approach. Set up a special committee in the US Senate, chaired by Senator John Kennedy R-LA) on judicial overreach or even call it judicial insurrection. Give them FBI assistance for investigative purposes. Have them start subpoenaing these judges involved in the overreach and rake them over the coals in public hearings. If they refuse to attend, send the Sergeant at Arms to arrest them. If President Trump will agree to a caregully scripted speech, it may also be something he should address the American people on. One thing that should be explained is the conflicts of interest that many of them have in their rulings, as well as the history of Democrat political contributions that some have. Trump needs to shine a spotlight on this sordid operation.

Commented on Beaufort County Tax RevaluationSomething else I would advocate for would be what other states and localities have done with property taxes which is to limit the amount that property taxes can be increased in any given timeframe. So even if the assessed value were to increase say 100% in 7 years (as happened in this assessment to many people), and the milage rate was decreased to 40 cents per 100 dollars of value, there would be an overall limit to the increase any one property could incur despite assessment value increase that failed to be offset my milage reduction. For instance limiting property tax increases to no more than say 15% in raw dollars over the last assessment would hold the tax burden down for those that are now facing 80% to 100% property tax increases.

Commented on DOJ Joins Lawsuit Targeting UCLA For Anti-SemitismIrrespective of the state where Leftist controlled universities and colleges exist, most states suffer from the inadequate "education" that is provided in so many of the curriculums available to so many students, so poorly educated, at such a great expense to their families and, or, we the taxpayers.
It is truly a shame and must change. Thank God for the Trump administration at least trying to guide "higher learning" to a far more effective existence.

Remember......even warring countries don't show their asses in these areas. I don't think Chinese Arctic trade routes are the real issue here but we'll see where conversation goes amongst our fellow conservative thinkers.

"Gender assigned at birth" is a term used only by profoundly ignorant people. Gender is DETERMINED at birth, not "assigned". Gender is biological and can be determined by looking at the genitals, or by testing for the chromosomes present. Indeed, it is often these days determined BEFORE brith through ultrasound. Gender dysphoria is a psychiatric disorder that can only be determined by a mental health professional but would not be present at birth.

I never did understand that gender assigned at birth phrase. So, these whackos think that woke parents actually have the right to assign the gender of their newborns, no matter their biological sex at birth, and with no regard as to what their children will eventually think about it as they grow up. This is sick as well as evil.
