There you go again, Bigot Bob, playing the race card. Why do you hate white people so much? Most of us want a color blind society based on metit.

Well Bubba we still dont know what is the tax value of the 4 acres, as listed on the County's Tax Dept's webpage for tax records.

Can someone with the County Govt, such as Hood, or Stan, or Tandy... or any of the rest of them for that matter, just post here the parcel number for the 4 acres that is about to be sold by the City for $500,000 per the demand of the City manager... so that I can look it up myself???? Inquiring minds want to know... NEED to know!!
Surely if you (the Govt) are buying it, you ought to know the deed description of what you are buying.

Like I said, if the Commissioners were paying out of their own pocket, they would have taken MORE TIME, and asked a whole lot more questions about the documented tax value as determined by the Tax office itself.

Yeah Will Simmons: That is an image I am proud to NOT BE SEEN in.

I have voted against every aspect of this ill conceived misadventure, but I did vote for the 4 acre swap to get these fools out of trouble; however ...

There was NO shame to found as they wasted yet another $500,000.00.

I’m for real dying right now just catching up on the details about this whole farce of an operation.

If you wanna build a structure, wouldn’t you think that being the owner of the land where it was to be constructed would be an essential starting component? Not this crowd, they got bows on the gold shovels and news cameras flashing, throwing a ceremony to dig a hole on property they don’t even own.

What a bunch of a pompous jackass. Bunch of come when you call, no brains at all types.

What a shame that other than the few, the majority of our county leaders have demonstrated their breathtaking ignorance in all affairs.

They plan a multimillion dollar construction as if it were a playground kickball game.

Who exactly stands to benefit from the $500,000 in this government to government transaction? Of course not the citizen I know. Lot of money going this way and the other. Who is in charge of keeping track of it all? Hopefully not our appraiser, his figures are a little questionable.

Like I said before, these buzzards have come to pick us clean.

As a county commissioner, I went into that meeting fully believing that the Center-Left Coalition would have swapped 4 acres at NO COST rather than obligate the Beaufort County Taxpayers for a HALF a MILLION dollars to buy unneeded property.

I reckon I was wrong for giving the Center-Left Coalition a modicum of credit for possibly having moderately working brains. I often give far too much credit to the political opposition.

Hopefully, this will be the last time that I do so.

Everything that comes out of Cheeseman stinks and is full of holes.
Commented: Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 @ 8:35 pm By: Will Simmons
I wish a commissioner had asked Cheeseman that question about the tax value of the property during the commissioner meeting. I stonrgly suspect he would have had no clue waht it was.

The buzzards spotted this crowd from 10 miles out

I tried to warn you.

Someone needs to pull rank and put the brakes on this blooper before they engineer the taxpayer slam under the table.

LandGlide says the property at 947 Hudnell St is 38.25 acres all owned by Washington City School Adm Unit.

The market value of the land is $6,150,609.

The actual land value is $1,021,854.
The building value is $5,128,755; but that building is to be demolished so this value is non applicable.

$1,021,854 / 38.25 = $26,715.14 per acre land value (laymen’s estimate)

So Cheese is adding real estate appraisal to the resume now lol

How is the value of a piece of land determined by what the buyer has in their bank account?

“How much does it cost?”
“How much you got?”

There is no way 4 acres is worth 500,000 unless gold can be mined on site

Wasn’t the president recently charged for crimes involving the overvaluing of real estate?

Seems there is precedent now for this exact situation.

There is a solid argument that proper interpretatin of the 14th Amendment does NOT make children of illegal aliens or other foreign citizens who give birth in the US citisens of this country by birth. They could seek naturalization, of course, like any other foreign citizen. This matter will only be decided when it reaches the Supreme Court. The twenty or so liberal states suing the Trump administration, of course have selected the court they bring this in front of, and they will judge shop it to someon they expect to rule for them at the trial court level. They will also look to bring it in a state that is withing a federal circuit where they hope to draw three liberal judges on appeal. The second step is less certain as to the judges they draw but they will have considered the odds of getting appellate judges favorable to them when they decide where to bring their lawsuit.

CV: I cannot state this enough: This one issue is a simple, but effective litmus test for governing stupidity ... a stupidity that has raised it head far too often in recent years here on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.

I am not surprised what this rubber stamp city council did. Four of its members, one of whom does not even live in the city,.are sock puppets for the mayor, just like several school board members are sock puppets for the liberal superintendant. I wish we had true public servants who can think for themselves, but we do not.

What is mind boggling is why those idiots on the county commission establishment majority agreed to pay an inflated price in cash for this property instead of turning over school property they had little use for in the old P.S> Jones land. They screwed the taxpayers to the wall.

Its horrific that th City Council chose to accept th City Manager's price gouging RIP OFF of local taxpayers. This is how Govts lose th trust of voters! Its a display of Greed & corruption in their souls.

A staffer told: "It means whatever th City says it means."

A true conservative can never give this kind of corruption a pass. WHY? Because it becomes like a cancerous rot on humanity that silently spreads to the community, th police dept, the fire dept, all the lower depts & th lawyers that represent them.
I once had a Choco fire dept employee tell me: "Well sometimes we have to 'work' the system." Bingo! This means that to show favor to one groups means we have to take rights from a less powerful group. That's corruption. Sadly its how we end up with RINO's.They are blind to the creeping cancer. They go along to get along. Never accept any form of double standards or u will b slipping into th world of RINO's.

Can someone please tell me what's th listed TAX VALUE of those 4 ac?

Senators Jacob Howards explanation of 14th amendment;

During the debates in the Senate on May 30, 1866, Howard explained the Citizenship Clause:

"This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons."

Long Live MAGA!

That poll on the American people's support for ending citizenship by birth alone shows that Jeff Jackass, err, Jackson is completely out of touch with citizens.

Concerned Taxpayer: We all do the best we can, and then sometimes, and on hopefully very rare occasion, we may fall short.

Having said that, when the money is on the table, and I am talking other people's money, I have always made a point of "knowing stuff, a whole lot of stuff," and then I usually hire people who similarly know varied other stuff before the deal is done.

I pray that Beaufort County's bureaucrats would similarly take that same approach as I do, because ... Other People's money is definitely on the table with this incredibly monstrous spend, of the People's Money, on this hugely priced, and poorly positioned school.

My advice to bureaucrats in Beaufort County, and in America; and to their associative politicians; some dimwitted, others much smarter: START KNOWING STUFF!

A BIG changing of the guard is a foot, and it will be relentless.

Unnecessary, Little Bobbie, because that only happens in your little mind. The denial of jobs, college admissions, etc. based on racial preferences due to DEI is real as established by evidence in court cases.
