This ex-soldier said he wanted to join Herbollah to "kill Jews". Bigot Bob repeadtedly made excuses for the Hamas terrorists doing the same thing on Oct. 7, 2023, so I guess he has no problem with this guy either. Most of us, however, have a HUGE problem with this and are happy he got arrested.

Race, of course, has nothing to do with citizenship. I suspect Bob knows this and is just playing dumb.

If one parent is an American citizen, the baby is an American citizen wherever the baby is born. If both parents are legal immigrants who do not have citizenship yet, I do not know how that would be viewed when citizenship by birth is eliminated. In a European country I once lived in, the baby would be eligible for citizenship when the parents or either of them were. I suspect that might be the way it would work here.

In Europe, citizenship is based on the nationality of the parents or naturalization. In some cases that nationality can reach quite far back. For instance in German citizenship law, anyone who has an ancestor who was a citizen in 1871, when the united nation of Germany was formed from around 30 previously independent kingdoms, duchies, and principalities, can claim German citizenship today. There are even provisions for ethnic Germans whose ancestors settled in specific places in medieval times like the Baltic states, part of Romania, and part of Russia to claim automatic German citizenship today by ethnicity. Romania is another example, where anyone who had an ancestor who was a citizen of the Kingdom of Romania in 1919 is entitled to claim automatic citizenship, which about half of the citizens of neighboring Moldova have already done. Moldova was a part of Romania in 1919.

The last European country to award citizenship by place of birth alone was Ireland. and their Constitution was amended in a referendum by a landslide vote to abolish that a couple of decades ago. The problem that led to the landslide vote to end it was abuse by illegal aliens.

The information is this post has to do with motive, and if this was his motive as seems likely, then his wife triggered his act by her phone call.

On the New Orleans Muslim jihadist ISIS follower, those who radicalized him alse bear much of the responsibility, and it is possible he had other help as well. How did he accomplish making the IEDs and how did he get the materials, for example.

There is still an investigation to go on this, and I will trust the FBI more once Kash Patel is in place. The comments of their New Orleans leader with the nose ring raises real questions about whether they want to sweep it under the rug for political reasons.

EV's are particularly heavy and do more damage driven into crowds than conventionally powered vehicles. The huge weight of the battery is a large factor in the weight difference. The German Christmas Market terrorist used a conventionally powered vehicle and only killed 5, but using a much heavier and quicker to accelerate EV truck, the New Orleans terrorist killed three times as many. All the deaths in both cases were from blunt force of the vehicle, although both also had homemade bombs that were not exploded. Hmmm! Haybe we should designate EV's as "assault vehicles" and either ban them or highly restrict them?

If bad guys can't get guns, they will use something else for mayhem; a vehicle, a bomb, a knife, etc. There have recently been mass knifings at schools in China and Croatia, for example.

It was NOT "high powered weapons" that killed those 15 people. It was an electric truck. That info comes from the medical examiner.

All of those involved in radicalizing Jabbar did indeed have something to do with this terrorist act. The latest information is that he has always been a Muslim, although many always suspected that due to his name, but he was a moderate Muslim until fairly recently when he became radicalized. He was attending a mosque run by the radical Muslim Brotherhood and had visited Cairo, Egypt where that organization is headquartered. The mosque is telling its members not to cooperate with the FBI which indicates it may have something to hide.

If we do not want this to happen again, we must deal with Muslim extremism. It is not just the illegal aliens coming in, it is the legal immigrants who may become radicalized and most particularly, given Europe's experience, the first generation born here of Muslim immigrants or migrants, who are particularly prone to radicalization. Mosques that are praching jihadist hate need to be dealt with.
