I will not believe restitution has been made until the School Board announces it and notations have been made in the Board meeting minutes. Until then it is just bull.

"Prendiegirl": Here is how it works in the real world: One does not attack the senior county commissioner for inaccurate speech by using far more inaccurate speech.

That is indeed a great slogan for the winning party, but the rejection of the climate alarmist agenda in that election went much deeper than that. Having looked at all of the results, voters all over the spectrum - traditional right, populist right, and even left rejected climate alarmist policy. The populist right ANO which came in first did directly reject "green madness" as well as illegal immigratoin in its very campaign slogan. The second placed party, the governing traditional conservative Civic Democrats, had a leader in its sitting prime minister who has been very vocal against the EU Green Deal and illegal immigation. In third place was a new populist right party even more strongly opposed to both the climate alarmist agenda and illegal immigration, Prisha a Motoriste, led by a retired race car driver who vowed to arrive at his first session of the EU parliament "in a car with a large carbon footprint". While the Green Party and the center left Social Democrats got smoked, the only energy on the left was in the fourth placed party, a new coalition called Enough! that also campaigned against climate alarmism and illegal immigration. Also grabbing one of the Czech Republic's 21 seats was the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party which not only strongly opposed illegal immigation and EU green policies but also called for a referendum of Czech voters on leaving the EU entirely. All in all, a pretty solid rejection of climate alarmism.

Transparency in government is important, and lack of transparency by our school system has led to a lot of concerns by citizens, questions, and bits and pieces of information. The school system should have leveled with the public much earlier about what went on and avoided a lot of the public concerns. To get this issue behind them, it is important for the school system to make as complete a report as possible as soon as possible. They have drug their feet too long Already. On a matter like this, it is essential to consult with legal counsel, but I wonder if our school board having its legal counsel out of town has the timeline of leveling with the public to have been unnecessarily lengthened.

First off Stan the school may cost 52 million but 42 million is coming from lottery money. Also as per FERPA laws even children over 16 are minors until they graduate. The police did not want to get involved because yes the students were stupid but most of them left when the few decided to get crazy. Restitution is being made for damages and most of the kids have offered to volunteer their time. Punishment has been given. My thoughts( I know you don’t like outside thoughts on here unless they agree with you) however my thoughts are hopefully they have learned their lessons and they or future seniors will realize it was wrong. I’m sure most of you have done stupid things in your life. Leave it to the authorities.

HR - tell your self all you want, but if you were black, you might get away with it today, but in the 70s your act would have got you set on fire. Privilage.

Not to gang up on the incredibly unenlightened "Prendiegirl," but the cost of the unneeded school at the lowest placement of that entire property, has always been estimated around 52 million dollars, 383.00 per square foot, providing that there are NO cost over-runs ... yeah, and when has that ever happened?

There must be another set of facts making their rounds amongst Beaufort County's lower echelon of those who traditionally do not think too much about what is real.

Crooked voting machines produce crooked machine politics. Paper ballots are critical to honest elections.

Good catch, Country Girl. This is huge. A federal judge has shot down Biden's Title IX rewrite, where he imposed bureaucratic rules that stood Title IX as passed by Congress in 1972 on its head. Biden tried to delete the protection of women and girls and replace it with protection of "gender identity" and "sexual orientation". That is the opposite of what Congress passed.

Attorney General Paxton did a great job in shooting this monstrosity down. While this will help the other 25 states suing Biden over this travesty, the order does not seem to explicitely apply to them. With our radical left state AG Josh Stein, NC is not one of the states suing to overturn this harebrained rule.

Hopefully, Missouri's AG will be able to indict all these Democrat operatives who are misusing the courts for Stalin show trials against Trump. It would be nice to see Alvin Bragg, Juan Merchan, Fani Willis, Jack Smith, Judge Engeron, Letitia James and others rotting in a Missouri prison for election interferance.

Obama and Biden have also politicized the command structure of our military. Obama prematurely retired a lot of traditional generals and admirals and promoted "woke" replacements. Trump did little to change that trajectory. Biden continued promoting the woke and went father by putting DEI officers, much like the "political oficers" of the old Soviet army all through the military. The new Trump team after the election needs to get warfighters insread of woke soy boys back in control of the command structure.

The only ones who see "nazis" in Ukraine are Putin and his backers. That corrupt pro-Russian Ukrainian president was not "overthrown" by "nazis". He was impeached and removed from office by unanimous vote of the Ukrainian parliament. Seeing the handwriting on the wall, the corrupt president had fled the country the night before. Ukraine's gold reserves fled the country at the same time and have not been seen since. Reputedly they are in exile in Russia where the impeached president also went.

FERPA would prevent the school system from releasing the names of the perps to the media. It would NOT prevent the school system from making a police report and charging them for the crimes they committed. That should be enough leverage to motivate the perps or their families to make resitution for the damages done. Sweeping this under the rug and making the taxpayers cover the damage is just unacceptable.

Sometimes Bobbie is particularly stupid. Americans expect a non-political FBI. Obama threough Holder made it political and Biden is making it more so. American needs tp replace the badly tainted FBI with a new, non-political law enforcement agency constructed in a way to make it difficult to politicize.

Prendiegirl, All of your facts are wrong.

We all love our children and grand children. Somebody's children do 100 percent of the criminal acts. I guess we forgive all criminal behavior because somebody's child did it. We should have learned our lesson from the "Its for the children" garbage the liberals worked so well for so long.

Unca Steed, Obama DID use Nazis to overthrow the elected President of Ukraine in 2014. Putin is most definitely under the thumb of Chabbad but it's not "Putin Propaganda" that the Azov Battalion is comprised of Nazis.

Hell, the Nazis may have "lost" the ground game during WWll but they certainly didn't lose the war.

Prendiegirl, WITN stated, as of June 3, that 47 people have been identified in the vandalism. What the hell do FERPA laws have to do with this situation other than being used as a "bleeding heart" cop-out, exactly?

In the state of NC, you're an adult at 16. Best I can recall, most of the 47 identified are over 16 years old. If it were my child and he got caught doing stupid s***, as my granddaddy used to say:

"If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough."

Hasn’t anyone heard of FERPA laws. Why don’t you all stay in your lanes. Hood blows everything out of proportion. There weren’t 57 kids just like the amount for the school isn’t 52 million but 42. What would you do if one of those kids was one of yours? Let the authorities handle it.
