    Raleigh, NC     The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments today:

    North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission

   •  Joseph Budd (Forsyth County) - Budd is the CEO of the Budd Group, a Southeast facility services company. Budd spends considerable time in community service. He serves on the Glade Valley Scholarship Foundation, the board for Mission Emanuel, and as major gifts chair for "The Commons," a project for the NC Housing Foundation, to end chronic homelessness in Forsyth County. He received a degree in business from High Point University and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Budd will represent the 7th Wildlife District.

   •  Brian White (Dare County) - White is a partner with ATM USA. He is a board member for both the Dare County Boat Builders Foundation and the Pirate's Cove HOA. He received a B.A. in economics and political science from UNC-Chapel Hill. White will represent the 1st Wildlife District.

   •  John Clark (Sampson County) - Clark is with Sampson Bladen Oil Company. The company is nearing its 75th anniversary and Clark is responsible for the operational aspects of 26 of the 77 convenience stores operated under the trade name Han-Dee Hugo's. He serves on the board of directors for the Sampson Community College Foundation and Harrells Christian Academy. Clark received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Campbell University. Clark will serve as vice-chairman and represent the 4th Wildlife District.

   •  Al Sneed (Buncombe County) - Sneed is an attorney with The Van Winkle Law Firm. His practice focuses on business litigation in both federal and state courts and counseling with businesses on a wide range of issues. He is the chairman of the Buncombe County Land Conservation Advisory Board. Sneed received a B.S in math from UNC-Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Duke University. He will represent the 9th Wildlife District.

   •  V. Ray Clifton Jr. (Bladen County)  -  Clifton is an owner of assisted living and long-term care facilities in North Carolina and is associated with the Big Blue Store in Elizabethtown. He is a reappointment and will serve as an at-large member on the board.

   •  John T. Coley, IV (Wake County) - Coley is a real estate partner with Bryan Properties. Bryan Properties has developed several large communities in the Triangle and Charlotte. Bryan Properties has also been instrumental in the donation of more than 1,200 acres of land including 400 in easements over the past 10 years to the Triangle Land Conservancy in the Falls Lake watershed. In 2008, Bryan Properties received the Corporate Conservation Award from the NC Land Trusts and NC Wildlife Federation. He attended Stanford University. Coley will represent an at-large seat on the board.

    The commission manages, conserves and protects the wildlife resources of North Carolina. Members must be experienced hunters, fishermen, farmers or biologists who are generally informed on wildlife conservation and restoration problems. The term length is six years for each district appointment, and four years for at-large appointees.
