Governor McCrory Announces Appointments | Eastern North Carolina Now

News Release:

    Raleigh, NC     The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments today:

    North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors

   •  Andy Zoutewelle (Mecklenburg County) - Zoutewelle is the president of A. G. Zoutewelle Surveyors.

   •  David Pond (Mecklenburg County) - Pond is the chief operating officer of W.K. Dickson & Co., Inc. He is a reappointment to the board.

   •  Gary Pendleton (Wake County) - Pendleton is the president of Pendleton Financial.

    The board qualifies applicants for licensure as professional engineers and land surveyors in the state. The term length is five years.

    North Carolina Locksmith Licensing Board

   •  Keith Throckmorton (Perquimans County) - Throckmorton is a federal contract investigator.

   •  William Harrell Jr. (Bertie County) - Harrell is the owner of Riverroad Project Solutions.

    The board works to administer and enforce licensing locksmiths to protect public health, safety and welfare. The term length is three years.

    Morehead City Navigation and Pilotage Commission

   •  Warren Davis (Carteret County) - Davis is a founding partner at the law firm Davis, Murrelle & Lyles P.A., where he now serves as an emeritus pro bono attorney. He is a reappointment to the board.

   •  Andrew Midgett Sr. (Carteret County) - Midgett has piloted ships in Norfolk, Va., Charleston, S.C. and Morehead City and was the president of the Morehead City Pilots Association. He is a reappointment to the board.

    The commission promotes the safe and expeditious movement of waterborne commerce on the navigable waters of the state. The term length is three years.

    North Carolina Board of Barber Examiners

   •  David Hood Jr. (Catawba County) - Hood is the owner and operator of Cotswold Barber Shop, Inc.

   •  David Crumley (Stokes County) - Crumley is the owner of David Lance Salon of Fine Art.

    The board regulates the practice of barbering within the state, collects fees for certification, ensures barbers are competent and practicing in clean establishments and more. The term length is three years.
