The Beaufort County Community College Association of Nursing Students is sponsoring a Blood Drive 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Building 12 on the BCCC campus.

    The Beaufort County Community College Association of Nursing Students is sponsoring a Blood Drive 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Building 12 on the BCCC campus.

    To make an appointment, contact the American Red Cross at www.americanredcross.org, click on "Donate Blood" and enter the code BeaCC in the red "Find a Blood Drive" drop-down box. Walk-ins are also welcome. If the organization reaches its goal of 41 pints of blood, everyone who donated or tried to donate but was turned away will be eligible for a drawing for a $25 Visa card.

    BCANS is a local chapter of the National Student Nurses' Association and was first organized in 1993. The mission of the NSNA is to organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs; to convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession; to promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession; to advocate for high quality health care; to advocate for and contribute to advances in nursing education, and to develop nursing students who are prepared to lead the profession in the future.
