Nineteen BCCC students were named "BCCC's Best" for their inquisitive nature in a ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 25. Pictured above, those who attended the ceremony display their certificates.

    Nineteen students at Beaufort County Community College were recognized as "BCCC's Best" in a ceremony on the college campus recently. All students were cited for their inquisitive nature.

    Those honored were Alex Bowen, Tierra Crosby, Amanda Davis, Kathleen Knight, Jeremy Latham, Ashley Moore, Laura Nichols, James Sidney Scales, Stephanie Simpkins, Latoya Waters and Brad Woolard of Washington; Alex Garrett of Bath; Michael B. Hill of Blounts Creek; Veronica Korman and Howard Tyrauis of Chocowinity; Amanda Schmitt of Engelhard; Carolyn Reye of Jamesville; Hunter Sutton of Pantego, and Jeffery Eggerton of Plymouth.

    During the ceremony attended by BCCC faculty and staff and guests of the honorees, Vice President of Student Services Rick Anderson and the nominating faculty or staff member presented each student with a certificate that contained the description of his or her activities.

    Each month "BCCC's Best" highlights a character trait found in students such as motivation, respect, hard work, commitment and involvement in the college.

    Beaufort County Community College is a public comprehensive community college committed to accessible and affordable quality education, effective teaching, relevant training, and lifelong learning opportunities for the people served by the College.
