Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits

Karen Moore’s second grade class at John C. Tayloe Elementary School has been learning about real and fake rabbits during the Easter season. The students read The Tale of Peter Rabbit and discussed the importance of obeying your parents. The class discussed factual information about rabbits and enjoyed creating “paper bag” Peter Rabbits.

The Smile Program

The Smile’s Mobile Dentist visited John C. Tayloe Elementary School during the week of March 19. The dental program is based out of Michigan, and travels around the country performing dental treatments for students. The program uses local dentist and hygienists and performs anything from simple teeth cleanings to extractions. Letters about the program are sent home with the students and parents are instructed to fill out and sign the form giving permission for their child to be treated.
