The sessions will be held at the Beaufort County Skills Center at 705 Page Road in Washington. There will be four drop-in sessions. Interested individuals can contact Connor Jones with any questions at connor.jones@beaufortccc.edu or 252-940-6380.

  • Wednesday, June 30 (6:00–7:30 PM)
  • Monday, July 12 (8:00 AM–12:00 PM)

The Boat Building Program is designed to give students essential skills to gain employment with boat manufactures, service centers/dealerships, and custom boat builders. Students will work on various projects from new builds to repair jobs, electrical, plumbing, tooling/mold construction, and much more. Students will have access to all the top tools and equipment used in the industry. Upon program completion, graduates will receive a Diploma in Boat Manufacture and Service.

BCCC started the program with a grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation and the Beaufort County Committee of 100 to meet the needs of the local boatbuilding industry and to offer a local option for boat building education. The program can be completed in only three semesters. Currently, through BCCC's Beaufort Promise program, the boatbuilding program is free through the Spring 2023 semester.
