Jeff Minges, president and CEO of the Minges Bottling Group, plans to award part of $250,000 to BCCCJeff Minges, president and CEO of the Minges Bottling Group, a Pepsi franchise bottling company, plans to award $250,000 to eight N.C. community colleges, including Beaufort County Community College over the next five years.

Classes will begin July 12, 2011, for a new session of Beaufort County Community College's commercial truck driver training program, a 429 - hour course developed to help fill the need for truck drivers in the area while providing employment opportunities for area residents.

On June 8, 2011 at approximately 12:48 p.m., Beaufort County Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Highway 33 East near the CCC#1 Road in Chocowinity, NC. The reporter stated that a vehicle parked on the Sawyer Road and the occupants walked into a wooded area..

On January 17, 2011, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering of a residence located on Carrow Road in Chocowinity. The homeowner discovered an air rifle was missing from a work shop located behind his residence.
