The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services' Division of Public Health (DPH) recommends taking precautions to protect against tick and mosquito bites as summer weather approaches.

We should continue to use caution when traveling as we could receive another one-half inch of rain and many culverts are plugged or flow is reduced and standing water can cause hydroplaning in vehicles.

Streets have standing water in all the normal places following a heavy early morning rainfall so please allow for delays in employees arriving for work this morning.
