Yep, Bobbie, that is what YOU routinely post here.

Being paid to give speeches was EXACTLY how the Clinton Crime Family grift worked. Liberal putlishers paying huge advances for books has been a gambit for grift for years, too, as has people buying huge quantities of such books so that the writer makes money.

Bigot Bob is just engaged in more of that high tech lynching of a black man he finds "uppity". One thing the far left has never been able to stand is a black man who thinks for himself and takes conservative positions. They want them all to stay on the Democrat plantation.

Good catch, Country Girl. The Democrats and their MSM media mouthpieces, like liberal CNBC, are trying to intimidate our conservative majority on the Supreme Court as a number of critical issues come before them, and this smear campaign is a major effort at intimidation. The attacks on Justice Thomas are in the same vein as the silly flag attacks on Justice Allito. The group quoted by CNBC is a leftwing group trying to end a conservative majority on the SCOTUS.

As your article points out, far left Justice Katanji Jackson-Brown is actually the queen of receiving gifts but the leftwing media like CNBC want to sweep that under the rug. Jackson-Brown is the statist twit who is a key free speech case said from the bench that she did not want the First Amendment to "hamstring the government" Here is another one on Jackson-Brown: www.breitbart.com

There is a reason why polls consistently show that the American people regard the MSM as biased and do not trust it, and their participation in intimidation of our Supreme Court is just another part of that.

PJJ, I think this new school boondoggle may be a "bright and shiny object" to try to distract from the school system's huge failures in educating our children as shown by so many low scores by Beaufort County schools, and particularly in Washington on the state standardized tests. That has nothing to do with buildings and everything to do with a subpar curriculum. The school board members up this year are nothing but rubberstamps for our liberal superintendant. The tail is wagging the dog, and that is where the problem lies.

It is very noticable that local young people working as cashiers have a hard time making change correctly. Their math skills have been degraded by Common Core math, yet Cheeseman's appointees proposed, and his school board sock puppets rubberstamped a woke new math curriculum last year based on, you guessed it, Common Core. One of his top staff even tried to lie to the new conservative school board minority to say that the curriculum was not Common Core, but confronted with the evidence had to backtrack and admit that it was. The rubberstamp school board majority approved it anyway.

Another example is cursive writing which state law requires schools to teach but it is a hit and miss proposition here in Beaufort County. I have talked to a number of parents who complain that their children have not been taught cursive. One mentioned going to a restaurant out of town where the menu was in cursive, and his children who had gone to Beaufort County Schools could not read it. It might as well have been written in Greek.

Beaufort County Schools are failing our students in curriculum, NOT in buildings.

Mark Pomerantz, mentioned in the article above, who was Bragg's chief investigator was subpoenaed by a Congressional Committee to testify on his actions. When asked by a congressman if he had violated any criminal laws in his investigation of Trump, Pomerantz, who was under oath, refused to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate him. Then when he was asked if he violated anyone's civil rights in his investigation of the Trump case, he again refused to answer on the grounds that he might incriminate himself. When a lawyer who is Bragg's chief investigator keeps pleading the Fifth Amendment on his investigation, one wonders what underhanded tactics he used.

All of this reminds one of Stalin's KGB chief Beria, as the Stalin Show Trials were gearing up, saying to his boss Stalin "show me the man and I will find you the crime."

I agree that this would be a strange position for someone actually from Bath. All of the money is being spent in a different school attendance district, not Bath, as has been pointed out. But there is also another reason. This is a school consolidation, and the parents in the old Bath High School district were up in arms when their high school was consolidated with Belhaven and Pantego some years ago. I know people who graduated from the old Bath High School and who think the education their children or grandchildren receive or received at consolidated notheastern high school is much inferior to what they received as studants at Bath High School. For multiple reasons, this poster takes very unusual positions for someone who actually was from Bath.

While there are some arguments in consolidating high schools such as being able to offer more subjects, those do not hold true for consolidating elementary schools into a mega-school. At that level, it is just nuts.

"Bath parent" you have posted the identical comment three times in this thread. That is getting ridicolous. You sound to me more like a Cheeseman central office staffer, anyway.

Every bit of it is true, Bolshevik Bob, and that is why this abuse of our courts for political purposes is such a threat to our democracy. It is just like Stalin, Putin, Hitler, Maduro, Xi, or you name the dictator.

As usual, Marxist internet troll Bolshevik Bob uses an Orwellian Newspeak definition of the word "true". When he uses it, "true" means "consistent with the far left narrative."

There are written ethics rules in most courts prohibiting judges from contributing to political candidates. That is true in North Carolina courts, in federal courts, and in New York courts. Juan Merchan blatantly violated that ethics rule by contributing to Biden and other Democrats. The case he was hearing had a direct bearing on the political fortunes of a candidate he had contributed to, Joe Biden. Merchan chose to ignore that ethics rule. In a fair system, he would face a proceeding to remove him as a judge and probably one to disbar him as well, but this is New York and for political reasons that will not happen.

There has been no evidence of anyone on the Supreme Court making any contributions to any political candidates. If that happened, which is hasn't, that would be a violation.

With Merchan, he also violated another specific ethics rule for judges in New York which prohibits a judge hearing a case where the judge's family member can financially gain from its result. Merchan's Democrat political consultant daughter who works for Biden-Harris had an obvious financial gain from Merchan's handling of this case.

There is absolutely no equivalancy between Merchan's violation of the ethics rules and the ridiculous attampts by the left to intimidate the Supreme Court over things that are not rules violations.
Commented: Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 @ 9:13 pm By: John Steed
Bobbie is off in far left smear la-la land. Nobody "owns" a supreme court justice.

The guy who had a massive conflict of interest was Juan Merchan, and the Democrats were fine with that because he was a political contributor to them, even though New York ethics standards said judges are not supposed to make political contributions, and Merchan's daughter was one of their political consultants.

Don't know what you classify as "MAGA" but a couple of prominent well respected Democrat law professors, Jonathan Turley and Alan Dershowitz, have regularly pointed out that the "crimes" charged against Trump are made up by the prosecutors and have never been charged to anyone not named Trump. They have also pointed out that non disclosure agreements and paying for them is legal in all 50 states.

You are so stupid, Bobbie, that you probably thought the charges Putin manipulated against Aleksi Navalny were legitimate, too.

The big problem here is total lack of transparency in planning, which has long been a problem with our school board, even pre-dating Cheeseman. Like the last round of school building, this one was concocted in the backroom without public input or outside expert input. For example, did the Washington attendance area have the biggest need, and if it did was this the best location within that attendance area for a school? If memory serves, it seems there have been statements in the past that Washington's growth was projected to be mostly to the west, so would that be the most efficient place to put a new school?

The school board never held any public hearings either to determine needs or to get public input after the plan was conceived. Cheeseman and T.W. Allen clearly want to keep the public in the dark and reserve all power to themselves. That is not the way that government agencies should be run.

Once the school board achieves a majority that is not under Cheeseman's thumb, one of the things they need to do is put together a long range facilities plan, based on input from experts on things like population projections and on public input from the citizens of the county. Government should be conducted in the sunshine and not in secretive smoke-filled rooms.

"The justice system worked" in Manhattan the same way it does in North Korea, or Stalin's Russia, or Putin's Russia, or Red China or Iran, but NOT the way it is supposed to work in America with due process and a neutral unbiased judge and jury.

When one of the most prominent legal experts in the country, former Harvard Constitutional Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, a Democrat who supported Biden in 2020 says this trial was the most "Sovietized" he has ever seen and a complete travesty, he has a lot more credibility as to the nature of this trial than a Marxist-loving Hamas apologist internet troll like Bolshevik Bob.

The dictatorship peoblem relates to those who pull Biden's strings. Biden himself is little more than the front man who barely knows if he is coming or going or what day it is or where he is, the perfect Manchurian candidate.

Non discloure agreements are common and not illegal. This was ginned up into a "crime" by a crooked Soros DA who commonly lets real felons go free. A heavily Democrat (and likely all Democrat) Manhatten jury is not a "jury of his peers" for a GOP presidential nominee. A fair jury could only have been obtained by a change of venue which the Biden-contributor judge denied. The "business record" involved was a computer menu drop down entry clearly made by someone much lower in the organization than Trump himself. This trial has added a whole new meaning to the term "trumped up charges".

Alexsi Navalny would have known exactly how Trump feels. He was Putin's political opponent that Putin had convicted of false charges to get him out of politics. Donald Trump is America's Alexsi Navalny, and Biden is America's Putin or Stalin, take your pick.

The difference is that Trump is still in the game and American voters are going to the polls on November 5 to smash the Biden dictatorship.

Decisions like spending $50 million on school construction need to be made with both substantial expert input and substantial public input. A secretive smoke filled room process does not cut it. There is more to the problem here than just "informing" someone after a secretive cabal has made a deal.

The reality is that a recent poll of suburban women found that inflation and cost of living are now a more important issue to them than abortion, and it is Bidenflation that is going to kill Biden's campaign. Women buy gas and they do much of the grocery shopping so they see the damage Biden has done to their family budgets first hand.

And calling killing babies "health care" is pretty sick. Do you also think an executioner in a prison is a "health care provider"?

I think Trump learned his lesson about giving Fauci too much control during the Covid era. Governors deSantis and Noem also were outstanding examples of strong supporters of medical freedom and personal freedom during the Covid era. So were our Republican sheriffs in eastern North Carolina who refused to enforce Cooper's illegal edicts.

As to "making medical decisions for you" that would be Biden who forced all of our military personnel to take Covid shots that were experimental at the time. It was Biden who did that NOT Trump. Biden also tried to compel big corporations to force their employees to take those experimental shots, too, but was stopped by governors and the courts. It is Biden who is the medical tyrant.

WOKE is trying to make your medical decisions for you, and that new WHO "Pandemic Treaty" that Biden is conspiring on is a big part of that.

Nobody is "taking medical advice" from laymen posting on the internet. What the internet allows, however, is the opportunity to find diverse medical opinions and allows us to research them. For example, on deciding to take an mRNA vaccine, should you listen to the doctor / medical researcher who invented it and has very detailed knownledge of it, and who says it can be prone to serious side effects, or a local doctor who has little background knowledge of mRNA and is just hyping what Big Phrarma and government are promoting? Should you listen to Fauci who has never actually practiced medicine or to the "frontline doctors" group that has actually had experience in dealing with patients with Covid/ Should you listen to government medicince or to the group of epidemiologists and virologists lef by two of the handful of world class experts in those dields and their Great Barrington Statement, that disagrees with governemnt medicine on the subject?

Medical consolidation has too often made our local doctors mouthpieces of their medical conglomerate in too much. My own doctor, in response tn a discussion we had on Covid told me he was not in a position to discuss certain things because he was told by the Vidant higher ups not to. He hinted at personal opinions that did not agree with the government medical narrative but only barely. It was so much better before Obamacare led to medical consolidation when doctors worked for themselves or in a small partnership and they had free rein to express their real opinions.

The "victim" mentality is part of the left's ideology, so do not try to project it onto conservatives. We value our liberties, and fight back against collectivist totalitarians trying to suppress them. We see what is going on in other parts of the western world and are vigilant to keep it from happening here. Brazil used to be a thriving democracy, but is how headed to becoming an authoritarian police state. That article shows exactly what we want to avoid in America. It is great that we have some outstanding Republican attorney generals taking attacks on free speech to the courts, as the Missouri and Louisiana AG's have in Missouri v. Biden, now before the US Supreme Court, and probably the most important First Amendment case in decades.

There have been plenty of posts on this site with data (not "dada") on the dangers of the mRNA shots. A number of Scandanavian countries have even banned their use, either totally of for certain age groups of males. The medical establishment does all they can to suppress that data. One post on this site was data from Taiwan showing that in the first months of mRNA shots being given, slightly more people died from the shot than from Covid itself. Since I can only put one link in a comment, however, I will give you an even more telling one. In New Zealand, a government medical institute stastical researcher was so upset with government coverups of the deaths from the Covid mRNA vax, he turned whistleblower and released the data. He was arrested. The government did not dispute the accuracy of the data, they were angry that he had let the public know.

The quacks who promote gender transition surgery and drugs use "danger of suicide" to strongarm parents into consenting to mutilating their child's body, when the real risk of suicide is for those who undergo the surgery or drugs. They ask parents "would you rather have a dead daughter or a live son?" This is simply a fraud by these quack doctors who are profiteering off of this horror. These quacks should have their medical licenses revoked.

A clique of political and bureaucratic insiders came up with this plan without proper study, as has too often been the case with our schools. Our school needs should have been both studied by experts and also been submitted to public input. None of that was done. Management in our schools, and also in county government is a bad joke. Politicans and bureaucrats too often seek self-glorification, whether it is Langley with his jail or Cheeseman with his resume-driven school project.

As usual, our pathetic school board majority did little more than sit there as rubberstamps for whatever Boss Cheeseman dictated. We badly need a change on that board.
