Great news! Berger needed to go. He has been the kingpin of a corrupt pay-for-play system in Raleigh. But watch out, there are very corrupt cronies of Berger, particularly the establishment hack Brent Jackson, angling to take the senate leadership and continue Berger's corrupt policies. The pay-for-play special interests also just bought several House seats, including our own 79th district.

The soap opera going on within the local Republican Party is a distraction from what really matters. That is electing a conservative county commission that will do something about our taxes. We also need to reelect our sheriff and state senator. We have already lost our state representative to the special interests' sock puppet and the school board appears hopeless.

Whatever needs to be done in the local Republican organization can be attended to the next time they have a convention to elect officers, but we have something more immediate we have to deal with, called an election, and its consequences matter a lot more to our taxpayers.

Sorry, Washingtonian, but the only ones going to get representation from Armstrong are the special interests in Raleigh that dumped half a million dollars into an independent campaign to buy him the seat. That is who he owes, BIG TIME, and who he will represent. If you watched his campaign, his own interests were clearly tunnel vision on one issue, Big Ag, so that is the other group he will represent. Anybody else? Not so much.

You are clearly more focused on petty internal political party matters, not the big picture of conservative principles. You and Phil Berger are obviously both overjoyed that the strongest voice of conservatism in the General Assembly will be silenced by the crooked special interests.

This issue all comes down to the special interests versus the people. If a company produces a product that causes cancer, they ought to have to compensate the victims. Kidwell and most Republican stood for that principle. A small group of special interest oriented politicians stood with the special interests. Dixon and Traxler are two of those, and Armstrong agrees with them.

It was not just Kidwell. It was most Republicans, who stood with average citizens and against protecting special interests. The chemical company tried the same thing in the US Congress, and in spite of a few special interest types, most Republicans refused to protect the special interests. They tried it in most states, but only suckered two states out of 50. In North Carolina, the Republican House Caucus overwhelmingly said NO to this special interest legislation.

Armstrong has a huge conflict of interest here. The chemical company involved is Monsanto, and its successor. Armstrong has extensive business dealings with Monsanto's seed division, growing genetically modified seeds for them. Armstrong has refused to reveal that conflict of interest to voters.

Roundup may be a danger beyond just employees on farms and their neighbots. Research in Florida has found Roundup in bread on grocery store shelves. It has also been marketed for home use..

That plot to kill our shrimping industry was appalling. That video really tells the story. Sen. Bobby Hanig and Representative Keith Kidwell deserve our thanks for standing up to the insiders and defeating them. Those same people who tried to kill our shrimping industry are now hard at work pushing their special interest guy Darren Armstrong. We do not need to turn over our legislative seat to the special interests.

The city has always done transfers from the electric fund, putting the profits into the city budget. The problem with excessive taxes is the spendthrift nature of the corrupt Sadler regime. We need to watch out on this here in North Carolina because the RINOs led by Phil Berger put us on this path, too, with the total Senate rewrite of HB951 a few years ago. It sets CO2 targets even more severe than the European Union's "Green Deal". Phil Berger gave NC a Green New Deal that is worse than Europe's. He is AOC without the skirt.

That is why I am really pulling for the primary defeat of Berger next month and the primary defeat of all of his affiliated candidates like Carren Armstrong here.

These global warmists or climate alarmists have been parasites on American consumers. Their expensive and unreliable "green eneregy" - wind and solar - is driving up our electric bills. The climate industrial complex is pushing this fiasco. Not only do unreliable wind and solar electricity create a big risk of blackouts, but they also drive up the electric bills of consumers. The is another issue on these retired teachers recruited to run for school board by Carolyn Walker. Are they really Republicans? I am not sure which the Bath candidate is, but in Washington it is clearly Monica Davis.

I looked Monica Davis' voting history up on the Board of Elections website. She first registered to vote in Beaufort County in 1990 as a Democrat and then for years regularly voted in Democrat primaries. The first year Davis voted in a Republican primary was 2024. The question is - why has this longtime Democrat suddenly become a Republican, at least on paper?

I then looked up incumbent Steven Rader. He first registered in Beaufort County in 1978 as a Republican, and has consistently voted in Republican primaries ever since.

Carolyn Walker and her husband, Randy, were both longtime Democrats themselves before changing to Republican a few years ago. In spite of being registered Republican, both of them, in the offices in which they serve, too often take positions on issues one would expect of a Democrat, not a Republican. Are these teachers Mrs. Walker recruited going to be just more of the same?

The record is clear that Kidwell is one of the very strongest voices against high taxes and big spending in the legislature. He has the highest conservative rating ever achieved in the General Assembly on the Civitas legislative ratings. Why in the world would we want to give up that sort of record for someone who cannot even articulate what his political views are, or maybe just does not want to tell us? Or maybe he is waiting for a consultant to tell him what he needs to say to try to get elected? When Kidwell first ran, he articulated a comprehensive agenda of conservative policy, and he has stuck to it. When I vote, I look at policy positions and policy records. Kidwell's is excellent. Armstrong's is almost non-existent.

It is not a matter of who you like or dislike on a personal basis, but who will pursue conservative policies and be effective in achieving them. Kidwell has an excellent record on both counts.

Auditor, there has been lots of funny business going on by the defeated regime, and there is little doubt the records left behind are a mess. It would not be surprising if there was a lot of shredding going on during their way out. The remnants of the outgoing regime resisted getting qualified people in to look into their mess, but there is now a very highly qualified person in interim city manager Bobby Roberson to start picking up the pieces. Bobby has a very thorough understanding of local government. One thing that needs to be looked into and clawed back is the corrupt golden parachute given to the old city manager.

Interesting! So Phil Berger is now trying to manipulate TWO local races against people on his enemies list. He recruited Asa Buck to try to defeat Bobby Hanig in our congressional race and he sent Jimmy Dixon down here to recruit Darren Armstrong to try to defeat Keith Kidwell in the state house race. It is time to send Berger AND the Berger Boys packing. Berger is pushing a state budget that would raise our taxes. Hanig and Kidwell have been staunch opponents of higher taxes and of Berger's tax increase budget.
