Commented on School Superin-tendent organizes a Power PlayThe voters and taxpayers are being shortchanged by Cheeseman's pack of poodles who are the school board majority and give him whatever he wants. The Cheeseman poodles are Eltha Booth, Mack Hodges, T.W. Allen, Carolyn Walker, Terry Draper, and Terry Williams. When Cheeseman says jump, they ask "how high?" Why should we vote for school board members who are poodles for a California liberal like Cheeseman?

From the articles linked, there was not any major event that caused that blade to shatter. It just happened. Imagine a hurricane or even a bad nor'easter blowing through a gaggle of these things. How much damage would that cause, and how long to clean it up, if that were even possible? We DO NOT need these wind scams in our oceans. Roy Cooper is an idiot to propose it.

Commented on School Superin-tendent organizes a Power PlayIs it Prediegirl or Bidengirl? She uses the same demonization tactics as the Biden Democrats, accusing Richardson of the same things that the Biden Democrats try to falsely accuse President Trump of doing. She is high on personal villification and very light on actual issues.
I guess when you don't have facts on your side, personal vilification is the only thing you have left.

I understnad DEI very well. Here is an article on the rot in the Secret Service it has caused:
www.city-journal.org Sean Ono Lennon, son of JOhn Lennon of the Beatles, observed that supporters of DEI were "Dumb Evil Idiots". He got that one right. The current head of the Secret Service once served on Joe Biden's personal detail when he was vice president. This is a political appointment to a job that should not be political.

Little Bobbie is a quota-head DEI fanatic who does not seem to comprehend that the important thing in hiring is getting the people most capable of doing the job. If you set ANY arbitrary criteria other than qualifications to do the job, you get a less qualified workforce. If you restrict jobs to white males, you will get a less qualified workforce because invariably there will be some women, some blacks, some Hispanics who can do the job better than the lowest tier of the protected class. Positions in the Secret Service, and all government positions, should be open to everyone to apply, but selection should be strictly based on those with the best ability to do the job. It is clear that the Secret Service under Biden, like the FAA, is hiring based on quotas instaed of qualifications and the results show it. Is it going to take a major air diasater to get the quotas out of the FAA? The near misses ought to be enough to set off the alarm bells. Is it going to take a successful assassination to set off the alarm bells?
And it is still an open question, as Elon Musk and Erik Prince point out, or whether this was extreme incompetence or worse.

Commented on Trump shot. Minor injury. Assassin shot dead by LEO.Speak for yourself, Little Bobbie. The Democrats, the left, and the media have been the ones radcializing their base by demonizing the opposition. You, yourself have done it right here. Your side is the ones who have said the extreme things that need to be toned down. Republicans have never said the things about Biden that your side has regularly said about Trump.
That the shooter registered in a way to vote against Trump in the primary is not at all significant about who he is politically. His political contribution history tells the real story and it is a DEMOCRAT story. What will tell the tale is what information is found in his vehicle and his residence, and if that is not what Biden wants us to see, the FBI will undoubedly sit on it until at least after election day.

Commented on Numerous news outlets are reporting that Donald Trump has been shot but walked off the stageThe violent rhetoric against Trump and the demonization came from the left and the Biden Democrats and their media cheering section. Oh, and their little lemmings like Bolshevik Bob, their troll on this site, have followed along with that demonization. Biden himself has engaged in it, as well as Pelosi, and their Hollywood friends have been even worse. Biden's campaign even made a social media post about Trump being a "dictator" minutes before the assassintation attampt.
Earlerr, this same cast of characters demonized the Supreme Court, and a leftie was caught with info on a Justice's residence and a gun a short distance away after having traelled across the country to go after him. Demmonization has condequences.

Stopping the woke curriculum is the main reason we need a conservative school board, something we do NOT have right now. Florida is fighting the woke curriculum statewide with great success but most fights are on a county by county basis. It is why parents all over the country are voting out school board members who suck up to the liberal education establishment. Parents do not want school board members who brown nose the bureaucrats. Our candidate for governor, Mark Robinson, has fought these same curriculum battles on the state school board, as has State Treasurer Dale Folwell.

Corey, as I recall, you were one of those who challenged Sheriff Coleman, not one who was in his support group. You did it as a Democrat, however. Republicans making mischief in Democrat primaries is something that has gone on for a while. I remember in one election cycle Rush LImbaught dubbed it "Operation Chaos". I would not assume anything from just taking a ballot in the Democrat primary. How he voted in the general election would be the key factor.

Biden's trying to make law through the executive branch is an attack on democracy. Legislative power is supposed to be in the legislative branch. Our govenrment is supposed to have a Separation of Powers. Stopping the Title IX abomination of boys in the girls restrooms and locker rooms and on girls athletic teams is most important. It is good that 26 states are suting to stop it, It is maddening that our own far left Attorney General Josh Stein has failed to sue on behalf of North Carolina girls. Commented on Senator Perry announces resignationDing dong, the witch is dead! It is great to see this despicable liberal "Republican" RINO who prostituted himself to the special interests G-O-N-E. Good riddance! He is actually more of an Undocumented Democrat. Perry not only voted bad, he was one of the kingpins of lots of liberal causes like the NC Green New Deal, Obamacare Medicaid expansion, and casinos. He sold his soul to leftwing special interests for campaign money and lacked any principled bone in his body. A government watchdog group found that Perry was one of the top legislatiots on the take from casino and marijuana special interests in the entire legislature last session. Republicans are much better off without him.
Republicans will appoint a senator to fill the vacancy so the super majority will not be lost.

Credentials and knowledge matter. Dr. Blinson's background shows he has it. On the other side running this circus is a gang of three, two of them complete know-nothings on school construction, and one with a personal agenda of resume building and only limited knowledge of what he is doing.
On the county commission, while some people have knee jerk opinions of people because they don't like them politically, one again has to look at credentials. As an engineer, Richardson has been involved with many substantial building projects and knows all the professional and technical aspects. Frankie Waters knows little to nothing about construction and has questionable business ability. After all, the old Tri-County Telephone went under during his stint as its chairman and had to be sold to an outside company to keep it from going bust. Waters is the perfect know nothing for Cheeseman to control. We need to look at credentials, not who we like or don't like politically.

The Kamala Harris problem for them is huge. If they bypass her in replacing Biden, especially for a white candidate, how are black voters, who are already moving toward Trump, going to react to that? Given Obama's involvement in trying to negotiate all of this, if he puts his wife in as nominee, that may placate the black Democrat voters, but such nepotism will backfire with everybody else.

Why will nobody name the "Republican" commissioner who contributed to the Democrat sheriff nominee? His name is Frankie Waters, and yes, he is back on the county Republican executive committee. In fact, if you compare the contributor list for that Democrat sheriff candidate with the list of those elected to the current Beaufort County Republican executive committee, you will see more names on both of those lists than just Frankie Waters.
Somehow, all of those people were allowed to run for seats at the convention, but Tandy Dunn, whose exclusion was overturned by the state party, was not. When his precinct elected him precinct chairman, they were told they had to elect someone else or they would be considered an unorganized precinct. Why was he treated differently that those who wrote checks to that Democrat campaign? As the state party ruled, Tandy's exclusion was bogus and should never have happened in the first place, but he was the only one not allowed to run for office at last year's convention.

This decision gives legislative power back to where the founders intended it, the legislative branch and will stop the authoritarian overreach of the executive branch. This will nuke a lot of Biden's power grabs, including the "universal background check" gun control rule, but a whole lot more, including some of Obama's like the DACA exeuctive amnesty.
Amny Coney Barrett is a huge disappointment for siding with big government in two key opinions. That one of her clerks is closely tied to the censorship machine "Newsguard" is telling. Trump needs to be more careful in his SCOTUS appointments next term. Forget abortion, and look instead to first amendment and separation of powers in choosing nominees.

Great post, Mr. Blinson. All of the things you mention are things a competent school board would have considered and gotten to the bottom of, but the majority on this Beaufort County School Board just follows whereever their superintendant tells them to go, without looking at the options. We got a few good ones in two years ago, but we need to send up some more thinking members this year to replace the dead wood we have.

Tillis has been one of the worst RINOs in the US Senate since he has been there, and before that was a terrible RINO in the NC House. He was orginally recruited to run for the legislature by the corrupt duo of Richard "turncoat" Morgan and slimy Jim Black.
In 2020, we seemed to have a good strong conservative primary opponent, but then Trump screwed the pooch by endorsing Tillis. When he did that at a large Trump rally in North Carolina, there was loud booing. I have heard since that RINO Senate leader Mitch McConnell might have twisted Trump's arm on that one.
