JS you're right in that it was a gamble. At the time, the hospitals were full. People were dying at an an astonishing rate. People were dying of other conditions because the hospital were full of infected people. There were few treatments for covid. Without the lock downs so many more would have died. So yeah, most of us saw the hand writing on the wall, sucked it up, and took one for the team. In my mind, the risk of doing nothing far out weighed the risk of the vax. I think over time, it's been proven right. I can walk into Bill's, buy a few dogs, and walk out without a potentially deadly virus. Yay!

The topic of discussion is mostly subjective. I think democrats will do well on the topics of abortion and guns. Conservatives are over playing their hand and out of step with public opinion.
