Failure to build proper infrastructure to provide necessary utilities like clean water has nothing to do with the globalist "climate" narrative. Mexico City has expanded rapidly and its socialist local government has fallen down on the job of providing for the needs of that expanding population. The local socialists' failure to run a competent local government does not entitle anyone to invade the United States.

Lankford was one of those who negotiated the immigration sellout, but did not "write" the bill. What he did was cave in to the Democrats. Lankford is NOT a "hard core conservative", but is a poster boy for term limits because the longer he has been in DC, the more he was become a member of the swamp, a full fledged "Chamber of Commerce Republican". The Chamber has been correctly described as "the mother of all special interest groups" and backs crony capitalism over free enterprise. The Chamber also has always backed open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Lankford outted himself as an open borders fruitcake when he made a statement right after that sellout that he "loved all immigrants, legal and illegal equally". Trying to put these arrogant lawbreaking illegal aliens on the same level as those who do it the right way is a huge insult to legal immigrants and an outright attack on the rule of law.

Yes we should use whatever level of force is needed to stop these border incursions. As long as Comrade Biden is in charge, however, if Governor Abbot authorized it, the Biden regime would probably prosecute everyone involved in the federal courts. We need Trump back to do what the leaders of Latvia, Hungary, and Greece has the courage and responsibility to do.

What should not be overlooked however is the use of non-lethal force. Why was tear gas not deployed in a robust fashion against this border breach, for example? Being Texas, cattle prods would be easy to get ahold of and would have worked wonders to halt the breach. There are some great videos of Polish border guards using water cannon to blast illegal aliens back to the other side of the border. Why doesn't texas buy some of them? In the meantime, they could deploy fire trucks to have some of the same effect.

There is a lot of awful stuff in this bill, and the worst is opening more social services to illegal aliens, when we should be doing all we can to restrict illegal aliens from getting any of that money. Iceland and Denmark have CUT welfare to illegal aliens to discourage them from trying to come. These idiots in Congress are just creating more incentive for illegal aliens to crash our border. The bill did add a handful of new border agents and a handful of new illegal alien detention beds, but that little bit does not balance what they have done to give more welfare to these migrant parasites. Speaker Johnson has sold us down the river. Shameful.

It is too close to the November election to dump Johnson now, but he needs to be dumped when Congress reconvenes in January.

It looks like Bobbie is following the Stalinist mantra that if you tell a lie enough times it becomes the truth. The badly flawed border bill he refers to was drafted by a Democrat dominated "bi-partisan" committee, with the GOP representation on it a Chamber of Commerce sellout named Lankford, who openly says he sees no difference between legal immigrants and illegal alien migrants. The bill did nothing of any significant to cut the migrant flow and quite a bit that would have encouraged it to become larger. It was pouring gasoline, not water, on the fire of illegal immigration.

Real Republicans reject the notion of doing "something" even if it is wrong, as the Lankford endorsed bill clearly was.

Those who have nothing but distain and contempt for our immigration laws, will think nothing of violating our other laws as well like trying to steal people's homes.

What is particularly encouraging in this poll is that voters on the left are also swinging behind an anti-immigration party and rejecting the globalist parties of the establishment.

Illegal immigration is the top issue on both sides of the Atlantic, and it is time to put a stop to it and start forcing re-migration of the illegal aliens who are occupying western countries and being welfare parasites. It is appalling, however, that the Carolina Journal publishes an article that makes excuses for sanctuary county sheriffs. These are the idiots that are responsible for the rise in migrant crime like the Laken Riley kidnapping and murder. Sheriffs should be made personally liable for any harm caused to NC citizens by illegal aliens they refuse to turn over to ICE.

What illegal immigration has done to Sweden, it is now doing to the US, and we simply MUST stop it by returning Trump to office. Some European countries had the good sense during the 2015 migrant influx to take steps to protect their people, like Denmark, which closed its land borders with Germany and Sweden to keep the illegal aliens out of their country. That is much like what Texas is trying to do now.

Who knows how many get in for every one that is caught? Biden's open borders have undoubtedly let lots of these terrorists in, like the one recently caught in Gates County, NC on the terrorist watch list and with "military equipment" at his residence.

Illegal alien migrant smuggling boats can be stopped if their is a will to do it, as was shown in Australia's Operation Sovereign Borders, a campaign led by an army general and including a combination of military, coast guard, and border patrol resources. Smugling boats were identified before they reached Australian shores, stopped at sea, and turned around, at gunpoint if necessary back to where they came from. If a boat was incapable of returning to its port of origin, its passengers were taken to offshore camps to await return or where they could apply for entry to Australia, which almost never was granted. That is what America needs to guard our shores. Maybe we need to bring former Austrlian Prime Minister Tony Abbot, the author of Operation Sovereign Borders to help President Trump when he is restored to the White House develop American border policy.

We need to take away the enticements, the so-called "pull factor" - the welfare, housing, food, medical care, jobs, etc. We also need to increase the penalties for illegal crossing the border. Incarceration is expensive to taxpayers, so one solution might be to use a punishment that was common in 19th century navies - flogging them with a cat-o-nine, which would be cheap but something they would wish to avoid.

For someone who condoned and excused the Hamas Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Women, childrem, and other civilians, your sudden concern for any women or children who might be present around Mexican criminal cartel headquarters or drug labs is quite strange, Bobbie. Women there are likely to be cartel-connected and just as deserving as the men of a Hellfire missile. I cannot imagine that there would be many, if any children around those places.

We must remember that WOKE is quite capable of condoning and excusing crime and terrorism. WOKE is an enemy of decent people. They are the sick-o scum of the world.

You must be using Common Core Math, Little Bobbie. Back in the real world, all you have to do is look at real numbers of illegal aliens coming across the border. A whole lot has changed between Trump and Biden on illegal alien invasion, and it has to do with Biden's revokation of over 60 Trump executive orders on the subject and Biden's arrogant refusal to enforce America's duly adopted immigration laws.

The Bahamas has been dealing with their Haitian illegal alien problem that way for decades. At least once a year, they have a mass roundup of Haitian illegal aliens, who they throw into the notorious Fox Hill Prison, men, women, and children, until they can be deported back to Haiti. This has gone on whether it has been the center-left Progressive Liberal Party or the center-right Free National Movement in power.

Trump tightened things up a lot with executive orders to stop illegal alien crossings. Biden revoked all of those EOs his first day. Biden also stopped building the border wall. Trump did a lot to crack down on illegal immigration, and he will do that again. A lot can be fixed simply by enforcing the immigration laws as written, that scoflaw Biden refuses to enforce. There are lots of things that really need legislation which the Democrats refuse to do, like ending automatic citizenship by birth (which most developed countries do NOT have), ending chain migration, and severely tightening up the much abused asylum laws.

The correct legal term is "illegal alien" as used in federal immigration law as published in the United States Code. The bastardized contradiction in terms "illegal immigrant" is an insult to real immigrants. As used in federal immigration law, the term "immigrant" is used exclusively for those who apply properly to come to the United States. I wish some of the reporters like the one in the reposted article would grasp that.

But the problem discussed is a very real problem that raises health care costs and health insurance costs for all Americans, because we are charged extra to pay for these deadbeat illegal alien freedloaders. Running up unpaid medical bills ought to be grounds for immediate deportation.

The Venezuelan illegal alien who kidnapped and murdered Laken Riley at the University of Georgia has an illegal alien brother who works for the university and has been identififed as a member of the violent Venezuelan criminal gang Tren de Aragua. The murderer may be, as well, but that is not known for certain as yet.

Florida needs to have buses ready to take them to Democrat states, including Delaware, or better yet, adopt a law like Texas and arrest them under state law.

One thing states need to do is to make them totally ineligible for welfare programs which states administer, and provide criminal penalties for welfare officials giving any money to these invaders.

If we see more Haitians in our country, that is going to be a big problem. Ask black islanders in places like Sint Maarten or the Bahamas about Haitians, and they will tell you in a heartbeat what a problem they are. Those places are easier for Haitians to get to, so they have a bigger problem with them. Biden has already imported the very violent Venezuelan criminal gang Tren de Aragua. Wait until the Haitian gangs get here. They will make the Crips and the Bloods look like Boy Scouts.

A bill to detain illegal aliens who commit crimes was blocked in the Senate by Democrat leader Sen. Dick Durbin. The bill, Sarah's Law, named after an earlier American girl murdered by an illegal alien who had been released on earlier offense, was pushed by Sen/ Jonie Ernst (R-Iowa) who asked for unanimous consent to move it to the Senate calendar. Durbin objected saying illegal aliens should be treated like legal immigrants and given full due process.

That takes the cake. Biden apologizes TO the murderer when he ought to apologize FOR the murderer, who would never have even been here except for the treasonous Biden border policies. Biden will probably start calling drug dealers "unlicensed pharmacists", rapists "nonconsentual sex partmers" and murderers "unauthoized executioners". He is a traitor and a fool.

The Lankford sellout was NOT a "compromise". It was a betrayal that tried to legitimize Biden's distortions of our immigration laws and created incentives for more illegal aliens to come. Instead of solving anything, it just made the situation on the border worse. No wonder the Oklahoma GOP has censured Lankford and cut off all support to him.

Legitimizing Biden's bastardization of illegal immigration was LESS than nothing. It was going backward. The Democrats' idea of a "compromise is doing it all or mostly their way, with maybe a few bribes for Republican sellouts thrown in.

Lankford has always been a Chamber of Commerce doofus on illegal immigration. McConnell sending him to "negotiate" was a signal that what McConnell really wanted to do was surrender, which was what he tried to do. If McConnell really wanted to get something worthwhile out of the discusions he would have sent a fighter like Ted Cruz or J.D. Vance to negotiate, not a pathetic surrender monkey like Lankford.

The House passed HR2 months ago to take serious action to crack down on the influx of illegal aliens, but it sits in committee in the Democrat run Senate, not moving. It is the Democrats who are unable to govern. Now the House has also passed the Laken Riley Act, which I guess will also sit in limbo in the Democrat run Senate.

BS, Bobbie. The sellout crowd put forward a bill to legitimize Biden's deviations from the law. That proposal weakened, not strengthened our immigration laws. We should do as Hungary does and reject all illegal aliens. The asylum treaties do NOT require us allowing people already in a safe country to enter ours. We could reject all of them coming from Mexico and Canada and should do so.
