Diane was a true patriot and tireless constitutional advocate. Above all else she was my loving vibrant exciting wife, and mother to our four children. Her absence is deafening as we try and learn to live without her. More importantly I want to help remember her legacy and will be working towards this outcome.

What Washingtonian described Monday should terrify every resident regardless of party. They stopped an elected council member from speaking. Twice. Then stripped him of two committee appointments in the same session. Then hired a city manager without the public vote the law requires. And Max Perreault — the man who campaigned as a taxpayer watchdog, who said he'd bring transparency back to Washington — voted with this machine every single step of the way. If the GOP Victory Committee is behind this, and all signs point that direction, then the voters of Washington need to understand that the party apparatus they trusted is pointing the gun at the very people it claimed to represent.

The anonymous mailings on Ashley were illegal because they had no disclosure disclaimer telling who was responsible for the piece. Since the two mailings were illegal, I never expected you to admit to knowing anything about them. Not because I think you wouldn't do it and not because I don't think you wouldn't just silently sit back when you knew someone was doing it.
