Its not about money. School consolidation is part of the agenda of the leftwing public school establishment. This is all about Cheeseman trying to build his resume for his next job, and doing it on the backs of Beaufort County school children, parents, and taxpayers. Shame on him, and shame on the dullard school board members who facilitate his scheme.

The costs, and in this case continuing costs, of consolidation could pay for keeping existing schools open. When consolidation is the goal what's happening now is kind of like killing two birds with one stone. Seems to me the county is getting snookered and the vast majority of our boards and commissions are in la la land or worse.

I distinctly remember Mr Richardson claiming the school could be saved for $35,000 which we all know is a untrue. Sorry dont trust any numbers that he now throws out here.

France and much of Europe is becoming a hellhole due to the illegal alien migrant problem. The globalists are trying to force Marine LePen out of the presidential race with trumped up phony charges, like they tried to do to Trump, because she is leading in the polls and would take strong action to solve the illegal aliens problem.

Great opinion by Judge Ho. He would make a great supreme court justice, to join the two that have common sense, Alito and Thomas. There are no orientals on the court, so how could the DEI left object?

The price Speedway always tries to hike the local gas price to is $2.99 a gallon until their competitors pull it back down. They are price gougers.

There is a lot bloat in government bureaucracy at all levels. Community schools and neighborhood schools are NOT bloat. They offer superior education, especially in the lower grades.

Cheeseman reminds me of Bernie Madoff with his shell game of phony "savings" while ignoring new costs his scheme creates, like the cost of lots more busing. For example, Cheeseman claims the cost of childrens' meals at Snowden as a savings. Does he not plan to feed them at Chocowinity? Most of "Bernie" Cheeseman's "savings" fall into that category. Cheeseman is a flim-flam artist. Call the bunko squad.

Reducing costs and saving money is a good thing but it can also be a bad thing if costs are cut where they are actually needed.

Destroying things the people need in order to “save” money, but at the same time wasting more money than was saved on things the people do not need.

This is how we end up with huge government incomes and expenditures, bloated bureaucracies, and a body of government that does not protect or benefit the people whatsoever.

The students coming out of schools have limited knowledge and even worse critical thinking skills. This is directly cause by unstructured learning environments and the institution of high technology in the classroom. If we have devices that do all our thinking then we shall not be able to think for ourselves. The truth is self evident, and is the enemy of the reasoning of men.

Beaufort County Government's Center-Left Coalition will probably reward the School Board and their Fearless Leader no matter what information is brought to bear.

Both groups of politicians are consumed with always making bad decisions ... Bad decisions only.

This vote will tell us who is for the people and who is dancing on Cheeseman's puppet strings.

Wow, that did not last long. Murphy's and Duck Thru matched Speedway this morning but within hours, Murphy's had knocked 20 cents off the gas price. Then Speedway retreated back to where they started yesterday.

We're on to the gas price gougers at Speedway and never buy gas or anything else there. When they screw us the way they do, it is time to just avoid them. Murphy's Express and Quality Plus are the good guys who lead the price back downward to where it should be.

Japan's central bank has been playing with fire longer than The Fed and yesterday things took a really bad turn for them economically as a result of their high government and central bank debt. They started many of the techniques The Fed in using here but have been doing them longer. Now it is about to blow up their economy with a debt problem far worse than Greece had. We need to learn from their mistakes.

The gambit by the left / Democrats on deportation is delay, and how they accomplish that is "due process" hearings for deportees. It is already taking four years to get an immigration hearing from the time the matter is filed. If suddenly everybody deported had to have a full hearing, which was NOT done under Obama or Clinton, it would draw this out a whole lot more. This would stop most deportations in their tracks until after Trump's term was over. This CANNOT be allowed to happen.

It is incredible hearing the rhetorical pronouncements coming out of these international organizations (UN 2030 Agenda, and annual World Economic Forum) after their meetings. Immediately, high level politicians start parroting the language and pushing the concepts. Then state and local leaders join in. Next thing you know bureaucrats are telling us where to go, where to live and where our children have to go to school and what they have to learn. When any one of us question any of this, we are subjected to condescension and derision. Locally, over the last several decades, think how many times very bad decisions have been made that we are having to live with, pay for, and our children are being stuck with. It's really difficult to see where the agendas, stupid bungling, and crooked dealings start and end. It's really easy to see how many of these policies are harming our communities.

Perhaps the local "Lefts" motive, is to advance the UN Agenda that pushes the population into 15 minute cities.

Matthew Cheeseman's bungling on the consolidated elementary mega-school in Washington clearly illustrates how career bureaucrats simply have no business sense whatsoever. Having to come up with an extra half million dollars due to his incompetence in ascertaining if the school board owned all the property is a glaring example. Does that half million dollar boondoggle explain why he now wants to close Snowden?

Ole Hag Hillary has let the cat out of the bag. This is the political gambit of the far left Democrats to destroy the America we know so they can get permanent power. The judicial wing of the Democrat Party is also doing their bit to destroy America in their judicial insurrection. Those Obama and Biden judges should be stripped of their offices and citizenship and deported along with the illegal aliens. They are a disgrace to American justice.

Opposition to illegal immigration is growing massively in the western world as the globalist elite try to submerge our societies in a sea of Third World migrants.

Good point. It does look like Matthew Cheeseman may be a white supremist based on what he is trying to do at Snowden.
Commented: Monday, May 19th, 2025 @ 9:36 am By: Rino Hunter
Is Cheeseman a white supremist? Let's look at his scheme to close Snowden. Richland Township has a large black community very supportive of the school Cheeseman wants to destroy. The whites there can largely drive their kids to school in Pamlico County so they can avoid those grueling bus rides to Chocowinity that will make learning harder. Many of the black folks will just be stuck. The black folks will be the main victims of Mathew Cheeseman's sorry scheme. Will the school board go along with white supremacy? I hope not.

The environment isn't the only issue with solar panels.
"Undisclosed communication devices found in Chinese-made solar components have raised serious national security concerns. U.S. officials warn these parts could allow remote interference with the power grid, risking blackouts or even system collapse.
U.S. security teams recently uncovered undocumented cellular radios and communication components inside Chinese-made energy products.
These include solar inverters—vital devices that connect renewable energy to the national grid."
