This program will cover interesting facts and stories about our local heritage.     Spring has sprung and the birds are winging their way back north! Meet in the park’s Visitor Center to enjoy gourmet coffee and a sweet snack during a discussion of bird habitats and bird-friendly yards. We’ll identify birds at the park’s feeders, and weather permitting, take a hike to spot some of our feathered friends. This one-hour program is sponsored by the Friends of Goose Creek State Park.

Saturday, March 31, 2012       The Wonders of Wildflowers       2 p.m.

'Tis the season for wildflowers to make their appearance. We will be exploring approximately 1½ miles of nature trails while looking for some of our park’s beautiful fauna and flora. Wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. This program will begin at the park Visitor Center.
