KANSAS CITY, KS     A local boy in his first year of homeschooling took a short break from his studies today to daydream about what it will be like on his last day of school, which should only be a mere 12 years away.

"Man, that sure will be a great day, I can't wait!" said Joshua Kellar. "I've got so many fun things I'm looking forward to doing when school is over. I just have to catch up on all my assignments this summer and all the remaining summers first."

Joshua's parents adhere to a strict homeschooling schedule that begins sometime after 11 am and goes until whenever. This schedule continues every day into the summer until the books are completed, which usually ends up being the day before the first day of the next school year.

Though Joshua had only started school this last year, he is already able to disassemble and reassemble a full-sized automobile and hunt wild game for his own sustenance.

At publishing time, Joshua briefly wondered what summer breaks are like for other kids his age before settling back down at his desk and taking his third math test of the day.
